Allstate sled insurance

I have them now and they seem so expensive? Does anyone else have Allstate? I have it packaged with homeowners etc. but it still seems crazy expensive. Any recomendations on a different company or a way to lower the Allstate bill? Thank you.

Not sure what it would be if I wasn't packaged with my home and vehicles but I pay around $120/yr on a 2010 Polaris. Not sure if that's more or less than you are paying??? That's Erie Ins.

I also have home auto boat biz liability.

I have them for everything. At first, they were reasonable. Last year sold the wife's sled and the cost on the other two went up by 40%. I think they want out of insuring sleds.....

I have allstate for home and auto. I called them initially for sled insurance but they were extremely high. I'm not sure why. I went with Progressive - they were much cheaper. Plus you can drop collision when not riding. I didn't call anyone else.

I use Progressive. $369 per year for three sleds, two of which are full accident coverage, one liability only.

i used to have State Farm and switched to Liberty Mutual after visiting their booth at a snow show so they do cater to sledders .they saved me $1200 a year after giving them my House, cars and toys.Chilly u live close to me so your rate should be close to mine I pay around $200 a year for full coverage on an 09 apex and 07 Attack.dont know about Allstate. But i would shop around if i were u. you do get a better deal if you give them all your business hope that helps.

We switched to Liberty Mutual also after a sno show visit. Saved a ton of money on all the toys, house trucks and a 1mill umbrella policy. They have raised their rates a bit in the last five years, but when we compared again this year, they were still the best deal.

$65/year full coverage on 07 IQ 600 here with germantown mutual. A lot better than $110 a freaking month on my truck!

but would u file a clam on a 07 600? I usualy drop the full coverage after the toys become worth less than 4g.
I know I would prob not take the chance of a big increase for less than 4500.
but I am lazy and have it all clumped together.I have often thought about getting a diff company for toys than auto/home/biz.

it is not the 25 bucks.
if u crash a sled chances are on a 4 or 5g sled u are what less than a grand if u fix your self?
the money comes from filling the clame on the 4g sled. then your policy gets tossed in the review pile now they start looking in to your driving record.[I may or may not have a speed a yr every yr lol] they start asking how many mi u are driving a yr.how much are your trucks used for work how heavy are the loads u tow who else is driving your trucks.
or worse u just happen to get in a fender bender the next mo. now they really are going to bend u over on the trucks/cars/ equipment/ liability ins/trailers/toys could ez add a g a yr or more.now if they drop u and u have a dropped policy on your credit score all other agency's u are shopping see that. now u are now paying high $$ risk on it all.
this all comes from a hard lesson learned yrs ago.
now I don't file unless absolutely necessary.
the 25 is nothing compared to the thousands of dollars and days and days of shopping and calls and insurance audits that busted bulk head would cost me.

I have some personal experience on a snowmobile claim with Allstate. Last year my sled met a tree and the tree won. The repair estimate exceeded the retail value of the sled so Allstate totaled the sled and gave me full retail for it. I bought another sled from a UP dealer within a certain time period and Allstate gave me the sales tax based on the claim amount. They were fast and fair.

Other than the physical pain from the accident, it was like trading in a sled for full retail. Not bad.

I also did well crashing my XC. Got a nice payout, then bought the sled back from Progressive for $300 and resold it on ebay for $1200. Much better off than when the carb boot broke on my fusion. I think it's definitely worth the price of the coverage.
