Why get rid of it after just one bad season? Wait til there's some snow and someone willing to buy it. Then upgrade! :)
Bigdaddy never gets rid of sleds. He rides them til he gets a new one and then that one becomes a back up sled until it dies. Then when it dies it sits in our sled museum!
Because I want to get a newer truck... and I have a few more things I'd like to buy for my newer sled...

I think the people that don't own sleds are the crazy ones

Bigdaddy is NEVER nicer to me than when he does something behind my back...it's his tell...and I USE IT USE IT USE IT!! :)

The crew is on fire tonight! WTG, do you know how much stuff has cost me twice as much as I planned (you know what I mean).

What's really bad is I'm trying to work the angle, she knows I'm trying to work the angle, and I know that she knows that I'm trying work the angle. It's a grim situation. The only way out is to come clean, pay up, and be happy.

Ahhhh...but now is not the time to sell the sled. Have to wait for demand to go up. Better off just sitting on it (literally) until next season...OR if there's some good snow left in the season? You can always go fishin and see whatcha catch, too!

bigdaddy and I have been together for 16 years now. He had toys when I met him...not like it was a big secret...and not like I haven't enjoyed the boats, sleds, RV (which probably makes a BIG difference in how I view things)...he's just done warn me down after all these years. He bought a BOBCAT behind my back, for Christ's sake! (Had a neighbor ask me "WOW! What's it EAT??" I said, well, gas and a little oil??) What's a sled after THAT??? Rolled up to the house with the 32' enclosed sled trailer and had the brass cojones to tell me "But I bought it for YOU so i could put the sleds in it and you could put your Jeep in the garage!" That poor Jeep has spent 1, maybe 2 nights in that monster garage - and that was due to repairs and it was too late to get that one more part.

Pay up and be happy is right. It's not in my nature to stay mad very long. Bigdaddy WORKS that...but he's DARN nice and really has to do VERY little except be nice and not b'ch about the stupid sh't he does on a daily basis. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he at least knows how to pacify the situation until the storm clouds have rolled over?! :D

I had to log back in just to say LOL!

I'm laughing so hard I'm waking up the dogs. Might be a little "tears of a clown effect" but who cares. This is a two paragraph instruction manual on how to make it work.

A buddy and his wife have 5 sleds between them. All for different purposes. One for highmarking, one for trails here, one thats a combo sidehilling/tree riding, one that trail rides for here, and gets extended for out west, and one thats a spare for out west. The only one thats even close to stock is the new rmk because of the warranty. The rest arent even close, fancy skids, tracks, big a$$ engines. And the highmarking skid is just SICK! Ill just say 350hp on pump gas out west, and the gas tank filler is BEHIND the seat....

Ill just tool around on my 1 sled.

PR1 - and don't forget the pinball machine and the coke machine that has 2 slots with beer!! :D

srt - it's hard to be jealous of your friends. What you need to do is go along for trips (if you like them) and then you'll have a backup sled or a sled to 'borrow' if need be! Why would you need more than 1 sled when they have 5?? I say suck up to THOSE buddies!!

Taking my first trip out west with him. My 121" sled is staying home. Im using his spare, and hopefully I dont break it, but if I do, he will have another along. He's pretty cool, he told me he always takes at least 3 sleds out west, and there has been times they've came home with only one drivable. haha gotta play hard I guess.

We're the people with 6+ sleds that are up and running. We'll gladly lend a sled to a friend who we know will ride it like we ride ours...with some respect is all we ask! It's no fun to have all the toys if you can't have a friend or 2 share in the fun, right??

Sounds like a fun trip!

WOW!!!! I go get some sleep before plowing and you guys partied on without me!!!

Now I think I'm seeing the light, I'm not aiming high enough!! I should tell the wifey, my second sled is nothing, I know people, no no no, my good friends from JD says I need at least three or four sleds!!! We need to specialize our snowmobiling!! One for trails, off trails, big hp, show sled, kids sled, two ups for company, etc....... Thank you all, you've shown a better way to approach this somewhat touchy situation.

When I get back in the house after my long stint of sleeping with the dog I'll let guys know what my second and third sleds are?

Yes you're nuts, for asking first!

Just go ahead and make the purchase, then tell her afterwards. All we ask is that you share all of the good stories with us about how that worked out for you.

As a wife - I don't think your nuts at ALL!! Life's short...and he who dies with the most toys wins!! After owning a mountain sled starting this season - I can totally see the need for both. Heck, bigdaddy has sleds for when he's riding at a more casual pace and then when he's riding with his diehard riding friends. Oh and another sled for trail + boondocking.

If she told you "do what you want with your own money!!" well, no offense, I wouldn't necessarily believe her. Guess it all depends on the tone.

That's why bigdaddy lives by the golden rule of "it's better to beg forgiveness then ask permission!" :D

"and he who dies with the most toys wins!!" ,,,,,,,,,,,I feel bad, looks like I'm going to lose!
