Am I nuts?

So, I'm redoing a 1990 Indy 650 and just picked up a 1996 XLT cheap for misc Parts. It has the xtra 12 in it and my buddy is hammering me about putting it in the 650. I said no and now another buddy is saying the same thing. So.....am I nuts?? Should I put in the Xtra 12??

Had an extra 12 XLT in the evolved chassis.....had a weird tendency to get out of control on straight line high speed runs. If you use the Xtra 12 rear I think you also need the 12 front end....longer shocks?...spindles, radius rods, trailing arms?.....sorry not sure.

not to mention theres a 2015 for 2500 bucks in here and some sweet F7s for nothing....2004 is best running F7...I have 20,000 miles on mine and still going

I know of a f6 in y neighborhood with just over 16k never been opened . all groomed trail

nothing....I did mod the Y=pipe and replaced APV cable...I went from the BR9EYA that it calls for to a more tougher spark plug which is kinder on engines at WOT....in this case it was a BR9ES...the EYA is a hotter thinner electrode...the ES is thicker and not for racing and more of off trail and general usage so a tad cooler...I had it dynoed when it was new and I run the WOT RPM's at 7850 which lowered it from stock substantially which is less stress on the engine as it pulls harder without straining everything...use CAT APV oil religiously, even so much as to drive to get it instead of borrowing any other manu's oil or friends snurf oil...only have ran PREMIUM...ONLY...EVER...(and branded gas only...no wallies smoke shop gas) and I let it warm up properly (all my buddys think im anal with that crap)....more off trail than on too...heres the spark plug bible incase you want to adjust...I tried em all so ask me 1st to save some money cause like a W/V/G/P the thin hard electrodes break off and damage pistons...didn't happen on mine but a buddies...we were trying everything...PAC system...PLUGS...NITROUS...plug timing...etc. plug gap very important too
