HAHA< that or there just figuring since so many places don't get snow anymore, more interest in tickets might be in a SxS
and sadly, they might be right ! IF that's there logic!

SxS's here are selling like hot cakes, and sleds FAR and few!
almost 3 yrs in a row with little to NO open days on the snow trails (maybe 8 ride-able days in past 3 winters in a row now )
a raffle ticket with just sleds on it here woul;dn;t sell many tickets anymore ! !

except it is a snowmobile club /trail system give away . clubs sell tix and more or less get 85cents out of every buck tix sold the barrons keep the 15 cents to cover printing etc and keep the rest for there fund where they give grants for snowmobile trail projects.
the manufactures donate the sleds.
and at a buck a tix real ez sell every guy buys at least 5 most buy a book of ten even if they dont own a sled . better odds the lotto lol
think last yr yammi gave a non current yammi cat non turbo

I hear you its a snowmobile club raffle
BUT again, the MORE tickets it sells the more $$ the club makes RIGHT!
and by having more than JUST a sled to entice folks to BUY tickets, as a SxS is used ALL yr, and appeals to more possible ticket buyers!

ATv's and SxS's are basically Illegal toys here in PA< with VERY few legal places to ride them
we have MORE LEGAL miles of snowmobile trails than ATV"/SxS trails
but we sell 1000 to 1 more ATV's/SxS's due to well, we don't get snow much anymore it seems!
TOO Short a season, for most folks to justify buying a sled, and IF they win it, they will most likely be trying to trade it in at pick up time for something else

SO again, having something OTHER than a sled, even on a snowmobile club's raffle ticket, to me makes for more ticket sales
and if Yamaha is looking to get out of sleds(which many think they are)
getting more of products they plan to KEEP making, (due to sales are higher)
is well
SMART marketing IMO too!
gets more folks maybe to see and hear of there line they plan to keep LOL

Yeah Yamaha has so much surplus in sled inventory you would think they would be happy to give a Viper away???

It doesn't make any sense to me, Haydays is a snowmobile event, most of the tickets are sold by snowmobile clubs, we are already loosing snowmobilers to side by sides so stick with the snowmobiles, even if it is a carryover model like last year. The odds of winning are not great but we have sold a winning ticket 3 of the last 4 years so they aren't that bad either.

Yeah they chopped the suspension on the Sidewinder released a pretty blue SRX model with Cats on the fly adjustable suspension button. I’m not sure Cat has a chopped version but very low market appeal anyway. Imo
