Any issues with new Cats?

Found a pretty good deal on a leftover crated 2012 F800 SnoPro. Just a little curious before I pull the trigger. Thanks for any help.

be prepared to buy belts. great motor its the sled around it had a few minor issues being first year with belt usage being on the top of the list. Most guys who ride them hard were having issues keeping a belt on it longer than a weekend. head over to hardcoresledder.com or arcticchat.com and you can read up on A LOT. They had issues with primary clutches sticking and alignment. My opinion is that torque control link they added is bad news cat never had a belt issue until they started putting these on in 2012.

I have run a couple of these sleds. They run great in most conditions. The chassis seems to do better as you ride harder.

They will eat belts without updated clutching in certain conditions. Trail #1 out of Silver City will kill the belt if you are an adrenaline junkie. I'm laughing to myself as I'm writing, I have that thumb problem.

Talk to the dealer about the clutching update coming this summer. Get that done on the new sled.

The machine is a strong runner with little wind protection. If you like to run trails, get the better windshield. It will be a cold ride without more windshield.

The ride is pretty good in stock form.

dont do a 12! many changes to the 13s with updates 12s can still have belt issues. and resale on the 12 will be bad.
stick with a 13 no real issues. best 800 out hands down I know of a few HO800 with over 8k on them still never been apart.
