I was just south of Duluth in Wisconsin bow hunting last weekend and it was 65 degrees. This thing still gonna happen? If I remember right, they had to truck in some snow a few years ago?? It was too warm to make snow, just like it is now! Hopefully it cools off...

Guys, I live about 3 miles from Spirit Mt. (where the Duluth Snowcross takes place). Every year, we go through the same deal - worrying, wondering, waiting for snow/cold weather.

One year they did have to truck in dirty snow from parking lots, and once I believe they postponed it a week or two. However, I'm always amazed every November and December at how much snow they can make in a short period of time. All they need is 3 straight days of temps below 28F or so, and they'll be fine. The put about 10-15 snowguns on the race course, and they can pile it 6-feet deep before you know it.

Spirit Mtn. is a great place to go and watch, everybody is there and charging hard! If I had to pick one race to go to though it would hands down be Lake Geneva. It's the season finale, the best track for viewing and racers, seems to always have great weather and an all around good time!
