the LXR has luxuries like heated seat, electric start, deluxe gauge, and infinite rider positioning all standard

they all have electric start. but also better shock package and I think cat com.go with the ext so you can get that all power to the snow and send that box in to speedwerx for the 3 remap package 260hp with a turn of the knob and a tank of race gas.oh and renew your AAA membership in case you ever get stuck and need a wrecker to come pull you back on the trail

the regular z1 turbo doesnt have electric start standard

Sorry, but that is incorrect. All 4 stroke sleds have the electric start.

To the original question, are we talking about the 2011 M.Y.? There is not much difference. Shock valving (float air shocks vs coil spring), color options, track, heated seat, bar height . . .

I would love to see some one try to pull a rope on a z1t on a cold morning.I would give it 0% chance of success.I cant remember if the wife's old 660 even had a rope did not keep it long enough to to have clear memory.it was totaled with less than 100mi

sorry i always thought the regular models always were like the bare models compared to the LXR's and i suppose its pretty tough to pull over such a big four stroke

the best is when you get to see the Yamaha crowd out side a motel on a very cold morning with the hair dryers under the hood.

Get on the cat website and "compare" models and you will know what the difference is.

ERA is right for once, and get the longer track version since it is wasted to put all that power down to a track that is any shorter than that...unless you simply like to do spin-outs all the time. You might do well to read the reviews on this sled prior to a purchase.

I own the ext and my daughter rides this sled, and loves how easy it steers compared to the polaris FST. They did a nice job on the steering geometry and who needs power steering??

And you can start almost any 4 stroke with your dress belt, as they start quite easily, PROVIDED that you have battery power. Like ALL 4 stroke sleds, with efi, you need full battery power or they won't even fire....starter or no starter. If you are worried about it, throw a light set of jumper cables in the machine just to cover this unlikely event.

Don't knock a 4 stroke til you have put some time on one. They are heavy but they are lots of fun and you don't smell like an oil can at the end of the day.

Sort of like a skunk...only thing person that thinks this is a "nice smell" is another skunk...I mean 2 stroker!

Everyone else, just holds their breath when they get around you.

No offense...it is a unique body odor that is not attractive by most everyone else.

Ahhh noooo your a party pooper! That's how you tell real riders from fake ones, by their smell! I suppose you think its cool to start your sled with a turn of a key? :D lol real men pull over their 700 big blocks with a rope! :D

wrong again moose allot of people like the smell of skunk in the distance just ask the medical marijuana posters .and I love the smell of VP 114 octane mixed with nos and klots and if you are a man and don't love the smell of race fuel and oil better check your pants to make sure it is still there

I own a '09 Z1 Turbo LXR LE. In '09, the LXR was the 1.25" lug vs the 1" lug
as well as the better guages etc.
and larryd, mine came with a extrashort windsheild (what a joke, frostbite)

As far as hook up, they have an update kit that lowers the sled 3" and improves the rolling resistance and weight transfer. Put it on mine end of season
