about 5" of WET HEAVY! too bad the cold wouldn't had set in right after it, would have made for a solid base! sounds like we will be on the liquid side of the system heading our way mid-week uuuugh!
Looks like lots of ifs ands and buts for our snow play areas. Just have to wait it out although northwest Midwest looks to get hammered. Good for them!👍

Latest forecast run is showing about 4-8" for the Brule/Iron River, WI area, and 6-12" near Duluth (and maybe a bit more up the North Shore). Fingers crossed that we all get some!

They have been hyping up this storm for a week here. It is suppose to start tonight/tomorrow morning and I have seen predictions from 3 to 5 inches to over 20 inches, it seems like the more they hype up the storms the bigger duds they are. I will see what we end up with on Friday

I agree, we now have a Winter Storm Watch for 8'+ in Vilas County. Supposed to start crank up Wednesday morning through Thursday morning.
We'll see what happens on Wednesday but it does feel like snow!

It's time for the first shout out for the 2022-23 Season. This may be a bit premature, however, my bones are telling me that we may be in for a rude awakening by Meester Bleezard by mid-week next week. This one could be a doozy, Heere Bleezard Bleezard!!!:giggle::cool:
Looks like the bones may have nailed after reading Johns Forecast today!

Constant downpour in Maple Lake, MN since 8am this morning, 35F right now at 6:30pm. Most of the small amount of snow we had is nearly gone, ice on the lake is taking a beating. I will blame myself since I bought a new sled, still a huge gut punch.

Blizzard Warning has now been issued for Duluth and up the North Shore. Latest shows about 12-18" total in Duluth, and maybe up to 28" up the shore. Fingers crossed, but we'll see.

4:30 forecast drastically different than 5:00 forecast so who knows what we have coming, even though far out of blizzard and snowstorm, would be nice to get something here with cold coming to start a base anyways

Not much happening in Northern WI yet, just very windy, and we had some freezing drizzle that came in around 7:30am. Hoping for the big one to crank up later today!

Cut off lows are strange usually produce somewhere per long duration but can also poop out reform further east. Certainly not the normal west to east track so far. Wait ,see and hope.

Meanwhile, our snow amounts have been decreased & looking like more of a mix than anything, yuk!! I am happy for those that are getting it, frankly, I would prefer the colder variety of snowfall & not the heart attack variety. Here currently quite windy & precip free & my bones still hurt....:(
