No generator? I thought you had one?
No this house didn’t have one this is the first winter power outage but fireplace did well to heat up living area. Told Brian I brought in a bunch of firewood last week so let it snow and blow. Lol. Little did I know the blow part would happen so soon. 😳

Major changes in the storm forecast for southern/central Wi...Now predicting upwards of 8-10" storm totals by Saturday from approx Hwy 82 north...Janesville/Beloit were forecast to get rain only, now maybe 2-4" snow...

hopefully someone somewhere is getting it, after watching news last night I almost went back to shop to move trailer and put plow on the truck, woke to a little on the grass where we live which is further west than my shop and absolutely nothing at the shop. So much for the 2 to 4 inches, would have been a nice start for a base if we had gotten the 4 wet inches of snow with the cold coming. But oh well, just another winter here in SE Wisconsin

We have received 2" of what I would call white water. Sloppy, heavy & not good for much, thankfully it wasn't more because this is the heart attack variety. Winds have been strong since last night with gusts over 40 mph. South of us from Baraga onward is a different story though, people traveling to Marquette were turning around & heading back north as conditions were attrocious. Schools have been cancelled in Baraga, L'anse, Marquette, Iron, Goegebic County etc.....

Should be enough to open many trails. How many of us will be calling in sick?

What I’m thinking is groomers celebrate Xmas too. I’ll chill with family plan on riding by next Wednesday sleds ready I’ll be buying efree gas today. I figure Walworth county will be well used plenty of riders have Xmas week off so will be
riding all week. Please stay on marked trails if this storm hits a lot of pent up demand I get it but be cool use your heads no road riding or trespassing.

I'll be a little more excited about the above if the maps still look the same on Wednesday...we will see! I'm sure it will change several times between now and then!

some weathermen making it sound like winter Armageddon down here in SE Wi, some not committing to any amounts yet, seems like duration of snow lessening but wind starting earlier, so could be good and bad, dry powdery snow with 50 mph winds may not do us any favors down here would be nice if it would just fall and accumulate, we'll see... not holding my breath. Looks like the U.P. is going to get clobbered once the wind starts blowing though!

I've decided this morning that our offices will be closed on Friday. I was initially only going to be closed on the obsesrved holiday that being Monday the 26th but in light of the crap conditions bearing down on us I figured it would be safer to just extend the Christmas break & play it safe. I'm sure there will be a lot of plowing & shoveling to do to keep up with it the best we can.
