Thanks again everyone, I did purchase one. 2011 demo from Company Rep with less than 200 miles at a really good price. Pick it up on Wed and am really excited!!!

Congratulations, I think you will enjoy it. If you came off a sit down sled you'll need to get used to it. But once you do, you'll wonder how we rode around all those years with all our weight on our butt. When you get to a bumpy section of trail, just transfer more weight to you legs and just let the sled ride it out. Also dont forget you can use your foot holds to hang on with your feet. (Dont ask how I know. lol. they turn pretty well). Enjoy.

Picked up my sled on Thursday and girlfriend bought one also. We put 114 miles on today and we are going again tomorrow. Wow, what a difference from a sit down sled! Hard to hold back on the throttle during breakin.

got from a rep did you get a good deal I know most employees can get 2 "demos" a yr at build cost and most do buy and ride a few days and then sell for some extra pocket money then just use demos for free the rest of the yr nice perc of the job ha

Congrats again. The only other thing I might suggest are the mirrors. (If yours didn't come with them already). Ive always used the wrist mirrors. This is the first sled Ive ever put mirrors on my sled, (my wife has always had them). I wouldn't be without them now. They are easy to install, work well and are surprisingly tough. Im always bumping mine. Enjoy, ride the heck out of them before your snow melts!

Mirrors are a must, had them on last two sleds and already have plans to get them for these two sleds. I love the adjustable handle bars and seat. Played with both until I found my ideal spot. Love it!!!

A riding buddy of ours has one. Probably the most comfortable trail riding sled I have sat on. Comfy seat, lots of wind protection and great rear suspension.

I test drove a Z1 Turbo on 12/23/10. Here's my report that I posted on another site.

Went on my annual b-day ride yesterday with SNO4ME and GD Jr #1. Stopped at a Cat dealer and took a short test ride on a leftover 09 Z1 Turbo LXR. I wanted to ride it longer and the dealer said it was OK but they would have had to run over to a local gas station to get more gas for it. SNO4ME has an 07 Z1 Jaguar and I knew I could put some miles on his during the day to get a feel for the sled.

Here are some random observations...good or bad...about the sled:

10. If you've hung with me this far you read my biggest dislike about this sled, and one that might prevent me from ever owning one....the engine vibration. Maybe it's because there's two big jugs swinging inside the block, but the engine reminds me of a Harley motor. No matter what the RPM's are, I could feel a constant vibration through the handlebars. I'm not sure that I could get used to it. Dealer said that it was the 177 hp motor, but SNO4ME's sled also did it, but admittedly a little less.

........
Next up? = I gotta test drive a Doo GSX 1200 4S.

Not sure what was happening with that sled, but the 2010 turbo I had, had zero vibrations. I have owned both Polaris and the big cat, both turbos and they were both twin cylinders and neither one had vibrations.

Maybe it wasn't running very well, or early production issue. The seat will break in over time. I think the Cats come with the suspensions tuned tight....and they don't need to be...they have a quality suspension under them.

I suggest you try another one, because there just wasn't any vibration with mine. Also the twin steel on the skis will put that dart away. While I agree that even the non-turbo is a nice sled....once you stradle that power and flick the lever, it is addictive as heck, and will be a come down to something with less power.

If I lived in the snowfields all year long....this would be my sled. No doubts.
