Sounds like he as traveling @ 12.5 knots and speed limit is 8. Check out the traffic jam!! " target="_blank">https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9811000 [/URL] Better fill them fuel barrels!!! Man what a terrible time for that. Sounds like they are going to have to unload it and try not to destroy the ship getting it unstuck. Shes 1200 ft long and 180 ft wide. Its gonna take a lot of time to free her I'm afraid. How can this happen??? <img src="<a href=" https:="" forum.johndee.com="" vbulletin="" attachment.php?attachmentid="62856&stc=1""" target="_blank">https://forum.johndee.com/vbulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=62856&stc=1"

Not sure if this accident happened on today's date or or not, but I believe today is the anniversary of the Exxon Valdez accident.

Yep 3 dollar a gallon gas will be 4 in no time....  Now 15 tug boats on the scene.  If you notice in my first picture you can see an excavator digging out the nose.  Look how small that giant excavator looks compared to that ship.  Insane.

Hasn't moved per vesselfinder Don't know how you could free up something that weighs 200,000 Tons.  400 million pounds!

Rumor has it that the captain was tipping a few when this incident occurred, I can only think of what was one of his last words, probably went something like this, “ I said rum and Coke on the rocks, NOT run the boat into the rocks”. LOL

Won't affect US much that passage mostly serves Europe from China

ezra, maybe not but I can see it becoming another excuse. Not saying I'm the only one but don't even get me started on the short supply chain, I have product on order they cannot even give me an estimated time frame of when I will see it. I have heard EVERY excuse in the book to a point I don't know what to believe any more and honestly the "C" word at this point is nothing more than an excuse. Last year we had economic shut down and destruction and as a result of our overreaction we are now dealing with the economic disruption. so even though that ship may travel between Europe and China, I'm sure there is a screw or a part a manufacturer needs to complete a product so that a dealer can receive the product he needs for the customer that ordered it months ago that already has been waiting and waiting and waiting and now its stuck on a ship in the middle of bum f Egypt, just like everything else it will become one of the long list of excuses.

<br><br>I hope you are right but I can't believe that when there are 200-300 cargo ships stuck waiting to get through it won't ripple throughout the world economy.  I see oil prices are on their way down this  morning....  Hard to believe...
