Bag for your gear

My last bag wore out last winter. I had bought it at hay days from the guys that sell them fairly cheap. I forgot until a few weeks ago that i didnt have one. Ive searched all over for something other than brand name bags. just curious what brand bags people have. would like the two end pockets for helmet and boots and a big middle area for the rest of my gear.

I got mine from the Bag King at the Novi snowmobile show some years back, try Amazon type in xl duffle bag and you get quite a few choices

My wife gave me this one a few years ago. It has the compartments at both ends and has wheels and a handle for easy transport. It also works well for gear storage in the off--season.

We've picked up a dozen or so different size bags from the bag guy at the Milwaukee snow show. Seems we can never have too many. Everytime we loan one out, we never get it back.

You don't need to spend $240 on a bag. I have a big duffle bag that will hold my helmet, bibs, gloves, etc, everything but the jacket. Wear the jacket, put the gear in the bag, tie the boots over the top of the bag and go. The $200 you save this way will pay for your room for the weekend.

I use a big plastic tote for sleddin gear. Never have to worry about it getting wet, its easy to pack and store and no probelms with other bags falling on it and scratching or damaging helmits.

Go to cableas and pick up one of their brand duffle bags. It's heavy duty, only 50 bucks and I use it for everything from hunting, fishing, to snowmobiling. Fits a lot of stuff

I got mine at the Milwaukee snow show for $20.00. This is the big bag with the ends for the boots and helmet in any color. Now they are $25.00 at the show. Mine has lasted for 10 years and is still like new. You cant beat that price.

I thought we were the only ones who have ginormous bags for ALL of our gear. Ours are wheeled on one end and are easy to get from place to place. I like to have everything in one bag, too. Think we paid about $50 for ours from a place online.

I bought mine at Target about 8 years ago for $4.77 each. One for the clothes, the other for boots, helmet, and outergear. Think i got my moneys worth!

Spend big bucks on a bag or just buy a plastic storage container bag the hat & boots good to go. Gear bags are PITA if you ask me & unnecessary expense.

I've never paid big money for a brand name "Gear Bag". Just never seen the value since you can get a huge duffel to do the same thing. We used to use 2 when the whole family went, then we got helmet bags and the duffels got smaller as it was easier to get them into the motel room doors. Now we're down to Rubbermaid totes. Everyone has their own and they are different colors so you know which one to grab out of the trailer when you're headed in.

gear bags all junk.
best $$ spent 9 bucks each the big black with yellow lid Tupperware style totes from home depot.
indestructible stack able will not slide off each other big holes on sides of top for bunji
open trailer, wet closed trailer, fall off truck bed rails, fall in to snow bank, no match.
work as a night stand or step stool in a pinch.
telling u best gear bag made.
now only prob is every guy I ride with uses the same totes now I have a spray painted green line on my totes.

Totes are great when you have the room. But fitting a whole family, dog, and everything necessary for a snowmobile trip into one minivan, IMO gear bags are the only way to go. Its amazing how much stuff you can fit with a little "creative packing". We'd use large bags for all the snowmo stuff. Then each person would have their own small bag for their clothes with a helmet bag. And each would have their names on them. Sometimes we'd even put those into a larger bag for easy loading and unloading. Somehow we managed to fit everything and still see out the back window. Plus the dog loved sleeping on the bags in the back. We still have our first large inexpensive bag from 30+ years ago and it still works great. But its funny how its always the newer fancier bags that get borrowed and disappear.
