best boot to buy?

Well....

Generally.....There seems to be 3 types of boot preferences. 1) pack boot/ liner boot 2) non liner insulated 3) work boot style.

I agree with firecat guy on the Adrenalines we have 3 pairs and don't look back. I have also seen guys that like pack boots and guy's that like work boots. Kind of what gary in neenah said different people have circulation issues or different likes & dislikes. It is a sock / boot combination that works for us. Good merlino wool socks that breath & a gortex boot seem to be our preference. The weather & conditions change almost on every trip which complicates issues for some people.

As far as boot dryers go we pack 2 small holmes fans to dry things out, most of the time we are sweating in our boots & gear and this just seems to do the trick. Nothing like dry boots & socks to start the day out ( IMO.......)

My Ru-Outsides have completely fallen apart after 3 years. I'm in the market, and really leaning towards the Klim adrenaline. My question is, how do they hold up long term, after kicking the crap out of your cheese grader running boards for a few seasons??

Mine have seen two seasons and are fine.

I think I have 3 seasons on mine (RU Outside Tundra) and they are fine so far, although I don't ride nearly as much as many on these board (8-10 days a year). They are showing some wear on the outside (the grey is all scraped up) but they still feel like slippers and the bottoms don't look worn at all. I haven't had cold feet since I got them, even when I got a bunch of snow in them. So I've been happy with these so far. I have a friend with the same boots and his leak, so who knows.

Are the Tundras Baffin-made boots?

see how you are! lol. I suspect Baffin made them so there la-ti-da! The Townsend boots are all but imposible to find, I was quite surprised to see Dave B. with same boots as mine. Who wants to be like Dave B. anyways! (I copied him so he says). Bet my boots are faster than yours. Mine are Bobcat ready. LOL

You're boots may be ready but you need some vision work Bobcat Boy!

I have a pair of Sorel boots that I have worn for 12 years. They have served me great...never wet, never cold, removable liner. This year I am finally going to replace them with....another pair of Sorel boots. The Alpha Trac's have my attention.

Hafta agree - any high-end Sorel or LaCrosse boot is gonna work just fine. I've been wearing nothing but high-end (not the cheapies) Sorels for years with no problems. Never wet, never cold.
