Beer Belly Bob right here in Greenland used to have the "belly buster" and it was real good. No more cooking for the old boy now but he does cook the best frozen pizza in the UP and that is "Kingpin" pizza, I tell you,,,incredible. Kingpin is better than most freshly made pizza

Bear Trap in Van Meer near Melstrand (between Shingleton and Grand Marais MI.) is hands down the best. The Michwisconsin burger or something like that is real good, Beef and brat combo burger with cheese is great. Not far from "Kingston Plains". If your up that way in the summer don"t miss H-58 for a motorcycle ride.

Ever notice how everything tastes better when your up north. All our favorite restaurants are up there. We plan our day of riding around where we're stopping for lunch or dinner.:)
Even eating a mediocre burger while snowmobiling beats eating a "gourmet" burger during the workweek any day.;)

Not so true in the Irons area. The really good places to eat are no more. (Or I am just used to them). After becoming a huge fan of kitchen Nightmares and other Bar/Restaurant recovery shows I wonder about what really goes on in the kitchens.

A lot can be said about the condition of a restaurant or Bar kitchen by looking at how well the bathrooms are maintained. I have tiled many restaurants and the ones you think would be clean are the worst and vice versa. Bloody ****!

I've had a lot of good burgers up north, but 2 of my favorites are from Vicky & Herman's Willow Wood Lodge and Bauer's Dam.... But I'm trying to try them all ! LOL

Always check the exhaust fan for the kitchen, the place with the MOST grease running down the side of the building is usually a GREAT place to eat

I 2nd that - those Kitchen Nightmare shows are real eye openers!

Great burger at Honey Bear, HWY 70 West, just outside Eagle River. Outstanding fish fry too!

Never would try to eat & ride after the 5lb-er at Ramada Hancock but who would think Ramada for great burgers? But very true great burgers there. :)

Its a beast. We've never finished it with less than 4 guys, and thats still a chore. More of an end of the day meal.
