Best conditions in a long time

We rode out of Eagle River from Friday night through Tuesday morning. Best conditions I remember in a long, long time. Rode out to Iron River, through Baraga, up to Copper Harbor, really all over the Western UP, Keeweenaw and Eagle River area. Would have loved to stay for another week, but we all have too much going on right now. No complaints whatsoever about snow, groomers, signs, temps, other riders. Only thing to really complain about where the record gas prices, but not much you can do about that. Long trip back because of the storm on Tuesday, but that just showed we should have stayed longer.

We're in Price County this week, riding out of Phillips. Same here, the trails are excellent and more snow is falling. This is what we wait for all year long!:):)

We were there also and we had 4 miles of bumps 1 night, not bad (great) for 825 miles! Thanks to all who make that possible!

Rode Minocquoa, Eagle River, Sayner, etc.. from Sunday to Wednesday, I can't recall any better conditions. Trails were being groomed constantly and they were excellent. I only had one big complaint, that I had to go home! Keep up the good work!

Mint trails this afternoon 5-6" of fresh system snow coming down rode the Kmball North to Big Stone lake in 3lakes then looped back thru Alvin/Nelma, Smokey Lake, gas in Phelps short ride on Eagle River trails then Xcountry back home. The road connections in Alvin/Nelma were freaking great with fresh snow but remember ice under that new snow so don't go too fast or could slide out on turns. So beautiful thru there rolling road trail with 100' red pines on each side of the road but just hate it when plow scapes it down no lube for hyfax but wonderful today.:) Weekenders were starting to arrive but lucky for me only oncoming large groups so I could haul butt no blockers. All the groups I passed were very well behaved no Ricky Racers so glad I broke my rule & rode on Friday afternoon quick 100 miles best of the year. Can't wait to get back out there!:)

Some friends just got back from the western UP.900miles in 4 days, they felt like they had the place to them selves. It's great that more than one state has all of the snow!

Even trails by me (Peshtigo/Coleman/Lena/Crivitz area) are the best in like,.... forever!
My only wish is that THIS is how it all would have started.
Ride 'em while ya can!
Enjoy the smiles!
