Once your wife rides a SKI-DOO XP 600 ace She will not want to get off. Great on fuel and the lites sled in the book. Mpg is about 25 to 30 gallon to mile. very easy to steer and ride . Good luck on the sled shopping. Make sure you have her ride all brands to find the right fit. FUN is what it is all about..

If you need a DOO dealer let me know.. PM me ...

HAPPY WIFE IS A HAPPY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!WE RIDE!!!!

You can find a ton of supersports used and many have real low miles. I work with a guy that just spent 14,000 on a razor and has two like new supersports 05's that have been barely ridden. The suspension is very soft and sucks up the bumps. Polaris sleds are easy to get parts for and parts seem to be more reasonable then some of the other brands. These sleds were not expensive brand new and you can steal them used out of season. I purchased at the time a two year old indy 500 in 04 1,300 miles for $2,100. Mezz is right the big three all have good offerings. be careful on the 600 if she does not have much saddle time. The first time I swapped sleds with my wife she launched the 700 and caught big air when she gunned it and lucky she was ok.

Electric Start

If your wife is anything like mine, you don't need e-start. She always has me go out before her and get the sleds started and warmed up while she is inside doing her hair...Ha! You could always do a 550 Fan GSX, those are nice with enough power for trail riding. You will save some money over the 600. Can't say enough about light weight, big warm windshield and good hand warmers.

My wife loves her 06' Ski Doo 500SS. She has 6,000miles on it now and she want to give an XP a try.

Depending on what you want to spend, I bet she would like the 500SS in Rev, GSX Rev or XP trim.

Her sled for next winter will be a 11' TNT 600 etec shorty.

No one is going to make the joke? OK, I'm in the doghouse for this one, but it has to be done!

Joe: "Hey Bob, check out the snowmobile I got for my wife"
Bob: " Wow, great trade!"

03-present z570/f570 fan cooled. Very reliable engine and has best power for fan cooled, very easy and cheaper to maintain.

I do agree make her happy n youll be happy, you dont want to hear anybitching on the trails

My girlfriend loves her '09 F570,and the electric start/reverse is the icing on the cake....Over 5000 trouble free miles so far.

Woof!

My wife liked her XC 500 but she moved to a Renegade in 05 and it has really worked well for her. Electric start, reverse, great ride and a little more trail stability with the longer track.

Here is my wife's priority list in a sled, she has been driving her own sled since 1975 and averages 2000 miles per year. This is what keeps her happy. Most of this was not available in 1975

1. Wind protection
2, steers effortlessly and holds in the corners
3. electric start
4. rides good/stabile
5. dependable
6. 95 to 125 horse power
7. room to store her extra stuff
8. looks
9. me to make sure she has all of this

Excellent list that applies to a lot of us.

My wife would agree with almost all the criteria except I'm suspicious that she considers No. 9 to be optional at times and maybe No. 8, if it applies to No. 9

The looks in number 8 definitely reflect the sleds appearance.

The me, in number 9 only refers that if one of the other 8 items on the list are a problem, it’s up to me to correct it. I do believe this could be the only reason she keeps me around the rest of the year.

My wife rides a 04 Ski Doo GSX 500ss it now 13,000 miles it's still a great sled. However, she now wants a Ski Doo 600 ace its throttle is much easier since her hand now goes numb from so much snowmobiling. No joke.

Looks like you have plenty enough responses and suggestions, but what the heck I'll throw in my 2cents.

I drive a 2009 IQ600 and love it. Rides very well and pretty easy to handle in the corners. It was pushing a bit in the corners when I first got it, but tighten down the tension strap and now its awesome. I can ride with the fellas all day and I always have the cheapest fill up at the pump.

I will also agree though that a happy woman makes for a very happy fella :)
