You fellas are talking my language now.... Nothing better than a good bloody mary in the morning. I like mine simple, but spicy

Mr. and Mrs T's Bold & Spicy Mix
Vodka
Pickle Juice
Tobasco Sauce
Worcestershire Sauce
Drop of Franks Red Hot
Pepper
Olive and Pickles for garnishment.

Yummm!

Uncle Richie's

Are you talking about Uncle Richies in Lockport. They have awesome bloody mary's. But if you are looking to make them at home then Ditka's bloody Mary mix is pretty darn good. Don't know if you can get it up north but down here it is readily available, and very good. IMO

Yeah, I sure am. They gave their recipe to me years ago and I do make them at home exactly the way they do.

I like using V8 juice and then spice it up however you like! My mom use to make homemade V8, made the perfect bloody.

Starts with good vodka...not the cheap plastic bottle stuff

I once got a high end mix as a gift that was the best, but can't remember the name of it, it defintely had clam in the mix, I think it came from Maryland.

otherwise:
clamato
W sauce
celery salt
tabasco
pickle

extra garnishes don't make it taste better, only for looks and reason to charge more

for some, don't forget the schnit.

1/2 Mr. and Mrs. T's
1/2 ZING ZANG
splash of pickle juice
splash of lemon juice
horseradish
worscestire
SKOL Vodka ($10 1.75L the best!)
celery salt
celery seed
whatever garnish you're in the mood for

I've tried so many different kinds, really comes down to personal preference, but this is the one that works around our house.

Bloody Recipe

1-2 shots Favorite Vodka (I like Kettle One)
1/4 oz pickle juice
couple good dashes of Worcestershire sauce
3-4 dashes of Tobasco
fill glass with ice
top of with clamato
couple dashes of celery salt
dill pickle spear and some olives

I do like a mix called Kickstart also.

I make these at the bar all the time and my customers love them!!!

Enjoy!

I couldn't take it any more, I raided the fridge and cupboards and this is what I created. (wife helped some).
Vodka (tres olives)
Celery stalk
shrimp
Chipotle Pepper
Green olive
dilled green been
Peperoncini
white chedder
Summer sausage
Sliced dill pickle (all that would fit)
Tomato Juice
seasoned with:
Tabasco sauce
fresh Horseradish
blk. pepper and Worchester sauce
Green pepper

I didn't have any thing to hang this all on so I grabbed a pie tester to string it out on. Did not have dill sauce or clam juice. Can't believe how much of this my wife had on a moments notice. And she apoligized for the wilted celery at that. I think it is to pretty to drink.

All these look so good, but everyone has forgotten the hard boiled egg on the side.

I use Jimmy Luv's then add:
Vodka
Clam Juice
Horseradish
Saricha (Chili Sauce)
Pickle Juice
Worchester Sauce
Celery Salt
Garlic Powder
Splash of lemon juice

Garnish with:
Shirmp
Beef Stick (not a big fan of Celery stocks)
Marinated asparagus
Pickled hot brussel sprouts
Pickle
Green Olives

Enjoy!

Stop it!!!

You are going to send us all to treatment if you keep this up. Every morning I log in and look for new recipes. This is running a fine line on dependency!!!!! When I lived in Milwaukee (really Mukwanago) there was a bar down by East Troy that was across the street from some lake and they had the best BM's. I think the lake was named Buela?? They were a buffet in a glass with all of the extras but what made them Killer was there version of tomato juice and fresh ground horseradish. I believe they used a blend of Clam, pure tomato juice, and a coarsely blended tomato juice. AH! Memories!!!

Millertime mentioned Absolut Peppar, Great stuff right there. Try the Peppar with oysters on the 1/2 shell. You'd think you was in "Naw lins" (New Orleans).

He** YEAH! Last time I did that was at a little dive of a place called Phillippi Creek Oyster bar and Restaurant in Sarasota Florida. They dropped the bluepoint (or other Oyster) in a glass, poured refrigerated Absolut Peppar over it and topped off with a little cocktail sauce.... Oh yeah they were AWSOME!
