He** YEAH! Last time I did that was at a little dive of a place called Phillippi Creek Oyster bar and Restaurant in Sarasota Florida. They dropped the bluepoint (or other Oyster) in a glass, poured refrigerated Absolut Peppar over it and topped off with a little cocktail sauce.... Oh yeah they were AWSOME!

Ohhh!!! yaa!!!! Those are so good. I found a place in Elk Rapids, MI that does them oyster shooters that way! Life is Good! I think the place is called "Pearls" Had a cab haul me both ways on that one! http://www.restaurantdb.net/restaurant/pearls-new-orleans-kitchen-elk-rapids

Wife brought home a bottle of Major Peters "The Works" Bloody Mary mix. Gunna try that. Oh, Mrs. runningbear, I am pickling eggs again and using your recipe.

Caesars...

Yep, that's what we call 'em. Most places north of the boarder will only use Clamato. Be warned - if you order a "Bloody Mary" in Canada you will likely get tomato juice instead. Besides this, celery salt is essential for rimming the glass. Other than these main ingredients, the sky's the limit depending on your taste, especially for garnish. I'm not sure I've tried pickle juice but will next time for sure!

Go to http://www.mottsclamato.com/ and click on "Recipes" --> "Browse" and you will find enough ceasar recipes to keep you going the whole season.

Oh, and the best cure for a hangover in the morning is a "red-eye" - a pint of beer with a few ounces of Clamato.

Andy's, Seney MI

I don't know about all the receipts mentioned above but I sure can tell you Andy's make some killer Bloody Marys in the morning with their breakfast. I only did it once but surprising the drink (not plural) was very good. Can wait for Jan. 30th, stopping in at Andy's for lunch, see you guys there!

Are you talking about Uncle Richies in Lockport. They have awesome bloody mary's. But if you are looking to make them at home then Ditka's bloody Mary mix is pretty darn good. Don't know if you can get it up north but down here it is readily available, and very good. IMO

I'm not a bloody mary drinker, but my wife and friends would second the Uncle Richies in Lockport. The wife likes it with a bit of brandy.

Doug get off ur azz mayb we take yaa up to "The Other Place" in Iron River or "Wilderness Inn" in Winchester for some real Bloodies. Now back to the original post,,,,,,,sry PR

The Bloody's at OP up here in Iron River are $16.25 You are paying more for all the garnishes( almost a meal!) but the mix they use is not to my liking. Just my opinion....

The blackstone bar in Mt. Pleasant has the best bloody mary. Big barrel old style deli pickle is part of their secret and alot of pepper heavy on alcohol and small ice cubes. If you need a judge I am available by appointment. Those pickles are not that easy to find. They are aged in a wooden barrels like vernors!!!!!
