Blue Mound State Park Survey

Bringing this back up! The second phase of the Blue Mound State Park (BMSP) Master Plan process has now been announced.
The DNR is presenting 4 proposed alternatives for the snowmobile trail in the proposed plan.
Next meeting is scheduled for 11/19, 5:30-7:30. Mt Horeb High School Auditorium. Same place as last time.
General consensus is to select route #2. This route was in a very similar location to the original trail that ran through the park for some 17 years.
For those that cannot attend, please take 1 minute and select Route #2 on the online survey. click this link:

Select "Snowmobiling" as a topic. It will then take you to #17... in which you select "Alternative 2, Service Road Trail". You can then complete the next three questions in your own words.

I want to share some good, positive news here! Snowmobilers came together to make this work!
The club's preferred route was through the old trail location and not on the road ride of way, was added to the proposed Master Plan. Just like we all wanted!
The Wisconsin Natural Resource Board officially approved the Blue Mounds State Park Master Plan today!

That agenda item is 4K, and can be started at the 3 hour mark. They voted unanimously to accept it at 4 hour mark.
