P.S. FireCatGuy, great Vids - If you're a biker, Roll Me Away almost has to be an anthem. Looks like it's close to a full moon tonight - shame on it

Thanks....yeap I am a biker and that is one the best songs ever!!!I remeber wanting a bike as a kid cuz of it....lol

You sound like my folks when we would play Led Zepplin, Dylan, and the Stones on my dad's stereo back in the late 60's!

Now imagine it is 1968, you are 50 years old, born in 1918, and your shaggy headed kids who need a haircut are listening to this s**t on your new console stereo and have just blown up the speakers...oh yeah, we were normal!!!!

"Get the **** outta here, you kids got no idea what music is!"

The problem now is, how is my kid gonna rebel music wise? It's not like her generation can top something like Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore" Seger's "Nutbush", or pretty much anything sung by Dio. It's likely they'll have to swing in the other direction and find their generation's Pat Boone or Paul Anka.

Funny story, my three year old was in my workshop with me this weekend. I had a classic rock station on, and she was trying to sing and dance along to AC/DC's "The Jack." I am so gonna have a weird kid when she grows up! :D

Fabulous - AC/DC or as the Australians say "Icy Dicey". Just keep that station on!

A lot of you make a very good point about longevity. My wife and I have fairly broad taste in music and enjoy many current acts but there is no way that they'll be around in a decade, much less 40 years. I'm thinking we are very lucky to have seen a lot of the long running acts from their early days.

Even the big hair bands are playing the casino circuit. Not Bob. He's not promoting a new album, is just touring for the fun of it, and he basically sells out the Xcel - had to be close to 13,000 people there.

We hit the Fargo Blues Fest every year - great time, two days music for a whopping $28 but we don't attend a lot of concerts any more (we're getting up there, you know). Still, there's three acts we won't miss: Bob Seger, Van Morrison, and Jimmy Buffet.

He led off the show with "Roll Me Away". The crowd went wild!!!

What was cool about this show was that, since he wasn't really showcasing new material, he had time to play a lot of deeper cuts from his older albums. He probably played 5 or 6 songs from Night Moves alone.

Seen him last night at the Palace. Put on a pretty decent concert, but liked his show at the Dow in Saginaw better. He is coming off a cold and told the audience so. You could tell in his voice especially when he did "Downtown Train". All in all the 1st of his hometown shows was awesome. Most of the songs he sang, at least 5 were from the "Against the Wind" album. Well on to Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids in just over a week to see him again.

It's the only thing my wife and I do during the summer. We use to get season tickets for DTE (always will be Pine Knob) but the last few seasons we decided to just get tickets to the shows we only wanted to attend.

My dad use to work at the IMA Auditorium in Flint back in the golden age of rock (60's & 70's). I use to go with him all the time to anything there except if it was a paid event such as pay-per view boxing or banquets. I remember times going to 2, 3 or 4 concerts a week. I guess that's what got me hooked on them (other than the cloud of haze in the air...lol). It also didn't help with Sherwood Forest out in Davison having the concerts, went there many times
