I use Klim's Adrenaline boots and my feet sweat and end up wet every time? I wear one pair of Klim socks.

Any advice on an alternate boot?

I have those boots & use smart-wool socks. My feet come out after all day rides damp but they do not get cold. I don't know if it is possible to not have the sweat totally dissipate then evaporate from the boot with your feet in them. We carry a little Holmes fan with us on trips and do the " boot dry " thing after each day. You could try thicker wool socks but might end up with the same result. If you think it is bad now ( LOL ) try cotton socks in any boot. Wish I could be of more help. In fact right now I'm wearing Smart Wool socks with my croc's ???? I love wool socks. Lands End makes some nice thick ones and so does " wig-wam "

I always wear a pair of cotton socks over a thinner pair of wool socks. The cotton will "suck up" the sweat and keep your foot and wool socks dry.(drier anyway)Shove some wadded up newspaper down your boots at night to dry them out too.

Snobinge, I hadn't thought of the products to keep your feet from sweating (called hyperhydrosis). My wife practices Dermatology and gives me all kinds of crap to use. The absolute best stuff is called Drysol. It burns a little, but if you follow the directions properly, it is awesome stuff. This can be used on armpits, hands and feet. There is also a new medication called Hydrosal which is a little less irritating, but I have only used it once and can't report on it.

I hadn't considered using it on my feet for this purpose, but I definitely will try it. This should 100% confirm if it is sweat build up vs. water permeating in vs. fancy socks and such.

BTW, she practices in the north suburbs of chicago or any dermatologist or GP should be able to prescribe these meds

Klim's new Adrenaline boots for this year are suppose to do a better job of wicking away sweat. I have the same problem, my feet sweat too much.

Ezra, LMAO, that smell along with the uranus smell.

A couple things to think about:

1) The Adrenaline boot has 600 grams of Thinsulate in them, so they are a pretty warm boot (the radium is thick so it is pretty warm too).

2) Never wear cotton, if you do get sweaty feet, the cotton will keep the sweat with you all day. Find a pair of smart-wool socks - let the Goretex do it's job.

3) The HMK book is not inulated but much like the Klim Radium, it is a pretty thick boot. (I do think it is less insulated than the Klim Boots).

4) What sled do you ride, some sleds have the heat exchanger in a location that just gets too hot. On my 08 XP, the clutch/brake combo on the left used to get so hot I thought I had a hole in my boot it was so wet from sweat.

I might have to try the antiperspirant for my fee this year as well!

The thread took a turn for the better. I thought it was going to spin down and degrade. I must admit the antiperspirant is a clever idea. I bought a pair of the Radium boots last year, They were too much boot for me. I put 1 boot on and gave it up.Sent them back the next day. Too bad they do not make a desiccant liner for boots. The problem probably is that desiccant is heat activated.

I need some boots, last season I threw my boots away 2 miles from home in protest of trench foot. I believe the Yamaha's with under the seat exhaust contributes to the water running down the tunnel, hence onto the foot hold and into the boot.

What decision shall I make?

1) junks from department store
2) klim
3) HMK
4) RU outside

Bought a pair of Danner leather high top boots in 1995. Their gortex lined, and still in great shape. I used them for bunny hunting for 5 or 6 yrs. then snowmobiling ever since. I don't wear them for anything else but. They were an expensive boot then $225.00 I don't know what they cost now, but I have been out on some pretty cold nights in the UP and never had a problem with cold or sweaty feet.
