Buh Bye Illinois

Many dream of the day, few actually get to accomplish it. I am happy to say that I will be moving permanently north to the Twin Cities after graduation in May. Still haven't quite figured out the details of where I will live because I have my place on campus currently. Most likely will be in the northern suburbs though. On a more serious note, I have to find some riding buddies. I probably will try to join a local club, but figured some guys from on here would be interested in weekend rides. Also, let me know if anyone has extra garage/pole barn/shed storage or is looking to make some money. Where I will be living definitely will not have an extra garage space, so storage locker is my future option until I get a house. Looking forward to what life has in store!
Sincerely,
An ex-FIB with a trailer
Dean

I am in North Branch Mn about 40 miles north of the cities . I would say forest lake / Lino Lakes / Wyoming area makes it easier to ride from home . The grade can get you anywhere fast . What are you looking for as far as work ?

Congrats on graduating and the move. All good news!
Skidont has good advice. That area has many of the better trails in the northern suburbs. The area closer to downtown has little or no trail system. Ramsey County is a black hole to snowmobiles.

Congrats SledTL. A very wise decision. I keep telling my kids; "get out while your young". No point in starting roots and getting stuck in IL like I did. Much better off getting "stuck" anywhere else, over IL!!

What is the point of trying to create a low emission Gnat on the hair of an elephant when the dogooders jet across this planet spewing more damn pollution directly into the atmosphere than all the sleds from Eliason on to now???? LOL what delusional crock a schit.

Definitely just powered more than an 850 with that post.

Congrats....No sled mannies hiring battery sled designers yet?....guess you are way ahead of the curve.

I got a job as a manufacturing engineer in NE Minneapolis with Graco. Sorry I didn't post updates snobuilder, I was out west for a week in Togwotee after the clean snow comp. If I could post pics, I would show you guys our sled, and stuff from a flat lander's first experience boondocking. I was doing a drive from campus out to Plymouth, and 394 was a disaster always this past winter. Skidont, are you referring to the trail that runs along 61? That seems to connect all over the place. But you are right, i don't know why Ramsey county is a black hole. Less rural area in Hennepin and more trails.

Graco that makes automotive shop tools like grease rack/hose reels? Start a business repairing them in Illinois and you would make a mint.

Matt,
I remember riding around Twin Lakes with you on the old phazer. He has an account on here as well, might comment if he sees this.
