Carburetor Installation

I am reinstalling my carburetor after having it cleaned out of my 2005 Renegade and am having a heck of a time getting the fuel line reconnected. It has to plug into that black fitting that swivels forward and back and is too tight to get on. Any recommendations?

Sure the fuel line is still routed the same way? Maybe you pushed it around and looped it around something upon installation making it “shorter”

On my gade I take that hose off just to lift the carbs up to get access to the bowl screw to drain it. I just hate it when I put the air box back in and remember that I did not slide the clamp back. This specific hose does not have much slack.
