This is all about global governance. Communism failed, so now they're starting small with a world-wide carbon tax. Look for them to try to act quickly as global warming, I mean climate change, is unraveling.

I wish I could comment on this, but I would be breaking the rules on the new site about speaking politics.

I am trying to turn a new leaf and look the other way.

100 percent?? Really. And over half of America voted for PBO. Amazing. I still have
yet to find one person who voted for this....except my dog Micky.

Just remember, someone put these people into power, and now we are paying for it.
They are still trying to level that playing field.

At least its another Global Warming Snow Day.

If they had reliable stats for the last million years or so they MIGHT have something to talk about. One hundred years or so isn't even a blink as far as the earth is concerned. These bozos are so arrogant and self important they actually believe this stupidity. Has anyone ever seen the TV show about what would happen if all the humans were wiped off the earth at one time? I can't remember the title of it but after about 50 years there is very little left of what we have created. After 500 years there is virtually no trace we were ever here. The earth has the ability to 'heal' itself rather quickly. As far as climate change there is no question it has been going on since the earth was created. Duh. This is the biggest non-issue farce ever shoved down our throats.

What these "scientists" and world politicians believe is that THEY have the ability and right to effect change in world climate through misinformation and slanted legislation. I say, take away all government and private sector funding from these eco-terrorists. Like the previous posters have said, the Earth does what it needs to repair itself. Be it a blizzard, a volcano, a flood, a drought, a forest fire, the receding of polar ice caps, the general rise or fall of temperatures, are based on a cycle. They claim that evidence from the ice age supports their assertion that global warming is killing the planet. Quite the opposite is true, the Earth does what it wants and we are just renting our space on the planet. So, don't be late with your rent, or Mother Nature will evict you!!!

I know we aren't supposed to ask direct questions. but if there are any meteorologists reading this post can you tell us if the story that they put out to day is true about this yr being the 5th warmest in recorded history.I would be shocked if it was true. I know in MN it was a great cool summer

There is a show on the History Channel right now (9:38 pm CST). The Ice Age ended 13,000 years ago, and they believe that asteroids killed off the woolly mammoths, and almost killed off early mankind. I trust everything else in the universe more than I trust Al Gore, or any person in Copenhagen.

After careful thought I've discovered that man made global warming is real.

It is a mental disorder, first discovered in Al Gore. It causes people with very strong educations even PHDs to ignore math, physics, chemistry, astronomy and buy into a political agenda based on consensus, to keep funding coming their way.

So when someone ask me, "Do you believe in man made global warming?" I can say yes, I've seen many suffer from it

… they believe that asteroids killed off the woolly mammoths, and almost killed off early mankind.
Never fear, we now have a cure for asteroids, we can just send a space shuttle up to the asteroid and apply generous quantities of …

"Preparation A".

Just kidding, , I new I'd find sensable people here. We all need to cross our fingers and hope that more and more of the BS that is Al Gore gets exposed, and quickly!! Cuz if this wonderful government we have now gets a chance to pass Cap and Tax, , , were all screwed!!

I personally don't necessarily dispute that "global warming" may occurring, But if so, is it "anthropogenic"?
No, most probably "heliogenic", to coin a word (cf. heliocentric).
Some "alternative" reading:

  1. The Space and Science Research Center (SSRC).
  2. The Science of Global Warming in Perspective.
Perhaps you have heard it said that "the debate is over in the scientific community"? 'Fraid not.
Consider The Global Warming Petition Project: 31,486 American scientists have signed this petition, including 9,029 with PhDs.

In the immortal words of Paul Harvey: "And now you know the rest of the story"!

In my never humble opinion, this really is profoundly more a scientific issue than political!

I really wish that this topic was posted on every thread, on every site, for all to vote on. What do you think the poll results would look like? 70/30, 80/20, or the inverse, and WE are in the minority of worldwide common sense?

Why is it ?

Why is it if we say we do not believe in global warming they treat us like we hate the planet and automaticaly assume we dont want to take care of the planet. .
