Clutches and gearing

How would you compare the Arctic Cat 6 tower clutch to the older 9 tower clutch as far as durability and performance? Also, I'd like to find out what people are gearing their ZL 500s too. The stock gearing is 20/39. What gearing seems to work the best with everything else remaining stock, with the exception of the track. Looking at going with a 1.25 Ripsaw.
After re-gearing would I need to change any thing on the drive clutch or driven clutch?
Thanks for your help.

I just put on a brand new 1.25 ripsaw on my 99 xc 700 and regeared from 24/40 to 23/40. I didn't do anything to the clutch

Re-gearing on a 500 really isn't necessary, there pretty good from the factory. Also, it would depend on what your looking to accomplish. If your trying to get more bottom end power, drop one tooth on the top gear. If you want more top end, go up one tooth on the top gear. Then just watch your tach to make sur it stays where it should be.
