we just got back from a pretty nice trip.
if any of u west guys looking for a diff destination I highly recommend this place .
only people we saw all week was a family on old trail sleds going to there cabin on the unplowed road .
place is 2 mi up the unplowed road . owner brings your stuff up in a enclosed trailer behind a snowcat . if u are late u are screwed unless u have a big sled like ice fishing sled. we had one.they have 91 non oxi at property
place was 1.5 mill to build like 5 yrs ago totally off the grid . but they have direct tv phone and sat internet .
totally untracked snow don't think we ever even went more than a mi off the trail/unplowed road we did not have to .
I read about the place yrs ago in snowest http://read.uberflip.com/i/427196-december-2014 and we did it this yr .
besides the flat light and crashing my sled pretty good great trip and again I highly recommend the place

well sort of but they have 11 beds . 10 guys cost us 450 a guy for 5 nights . every guy had 1 meal . gas is 5 bucks a gal . u are not pissing money at a bar all meals at cabin . pretty much 1 hr south of Craig. we reserved same week for next yr

Pretty cool, but sounds $expensive$

cant be cheep to run the place 4 sure. even with 1/2 the roof solar they have 2 huge propane tanks running a v8 generator to run the house . no way up but sled or snow cat

And a foot or more of snow on top of that? :snowman:
No wonder the 2 huge propane tanks! Very nice, very upscale digs!

surprisingly before noon they were clear every day.
guess after working the system for 8 yrs he is getting water rights for a deep well and permit for a 12in pipe takeoff from the river below for hydroelectric .
check this place just down the hill man some people have bucks j7 146.jpg

hard to see but at least 15k sf

That actually sounds pretty reasonable, if you can round up 10 guys. I wouldn't be able to.

we started with 5 and were turning guys down after the next 5 . prob 6 guys wanted to go who could not .IF U BOOK IT THEY WILL COME
snowbikes can go anyplace , not the HP rush like on a sled but the rush comes from the tight trees at speed . the bikes ar so ez to ride where u want no effort at all.
we had a 62yr old guy with us with lung issues . he had to quit ridding sleds yrs ago because it took to much work . he now goes west 3 or 4 weeks a yr with the bikes. he runs a 300 2st ktm timber sled ST every one else is running 450 4 st the 300 keeps up just fine.
as for my sled yeah I got in a pretty bad wreck.
flat light heavy snow coming down .
we were all in a big bowl thing 3 guys stuck . I go to do a climb was going to head over and help dig.
on way down at a good clip I saw the snow was cracked and sinking like 5 feet in fr of me. I brapped it to try to get ski over hole . well in the video it gets white after u here the hit then u here me saying ooohhhhhoooo for almost 2 full seconds prob 20 foot jump then u here the other hit that is when I hit the second deep depression and when I hit the bars hard . I guess the next thing the guys saw was me flying in the air then the sled coming out of the hole tail first . it hit me mid air in the head knocking my helmet off . yeah I did not have it strapped . I remember thinking now I am screwed and getting real freaked out about sled landing on me, well the sled did 2 full ars over nose rotations before landing track side down about a foot from me. it and me cleared a solid 30 feet on the 2nd hit .I did take the next day off ridding to let hips and shoulder recover but road snow bike after the day off. parts ordered.

U see the pick of RMK tore down on the hill.
that is lost sheep from this forum. kip
crazy something he thinks his last trip to up dented up the top of his bulk head . that busted bottom of air box causing a chunk to break loose and wedge butterfly open on throttle body. yes that was a first for me to see.

& as far as Ezra's wreck......he's lucky, very lucky ( where's the vid EZ??) & the wife only knows the bars tweaked from a rollover stuck!! LOL!
