On remote sections of the railroad grades it's not uncommon to cruise around 70 or so with occasional bursts to 80+. We don't run at that speed all the time, maybe 2% of the total time we ride. The only reason I know about the 110 (actually 109) is due to the dash storing the highest speed. Might of happened for one brief second and that's it. I was responding to the review about Oxygen helmets lifting at high speed. I've never experienced that and wanted to share. Don't want anyone to make a decision not to buy the helmet based on something I've never experienced.
and no...never hit a deer. was tempted to hop on one as it was running alongside of me down the trail! I could have reached out and touched it. That was a unique experience for sure.
