.......when John finally sees that record season he has been waiting for?

I know its way early, but for some reason I just have a warm fuzzy feeling about this winter. Everything just seems right. Temps started gradually cooling in October, we are making ice in Nov. Snows are starting to pile up out west into a nice stable snow pack. Light snows in the upper midwest perfect for deer season. No strange anomalies/drastic temp swings. Everything just seems RIGHT for a change!!

I duno about record year, but I also have a feeling this is going to be one of the best snowmobiling years in recent memory. Not sure why I think this, just a gut feeling. Normally at this time of year I am pretty nervous/worried about the upcoming riding conditions for christmas/new year time period, this year I have no worry for some reason and KNOW its going to be good. Hope our feelings are right!!!! Keeep calm and let it snow.

Here is one of my secrets to life - have low expectations. It is hard to get disappointed that way. Anything better than "bad" is good news that way. Of course I hope you are right but I expect a poor year.

No,this is not the year. If you could all book multiple ,none refundable trips out west, and a few others sell your sleds. That should get things set up for me in da UP for Dec. Yes I know,it's all about me.lol I was able to get a 4hr ride in last weekend. We just need a few more west trips booked.....

I'm not getting the warm fuzzies ....YET.... many many blown local LES forecasts in recent weeks but not JD he has been conservative with LES so far. But living here heavy LES warnings with every cold front wears on you & just not happening as a big event so I hope the big lake gives the area a dumping soon! I know it will happend always does but also need system snow to get entire northwoods going.

Were off to a good start for sure!! Hopefully this keeps up so we can have a long good year of riding. I put on 3500 miles last season, maybe this year I'll hit 5000.

I like the way you think. I agree, it just feels different this year and there are signs that we might not have a repeat of last year’s wimpy start.

I was up north last weekend and it was -11 one of the nights I was up there. When I drove by Red Lake on my way home on Sunday a guy already had his portable fish house set up about ¼ mile from shore. Sure seems like winter might be coming earlier this year.

There is still a light snow cover in my yard, even down here. Last year I was still mowing grass at this time.

Record breaking, maybe, but we’re definitely off to a more promising start.

Well we did our part. As much as we loved snowmobiling, especially in the Kee, we sold our sleds. My health is not what it used to be, and arthritis pain was just too painful in the winter. We would ride and then I would be back in the cabin with pain. So three weeks ago we sold the Yamaha's and enclosed trailer. Used the money to purchase an Iron Horse trailer for the Harley, time to head south and ride.
Now either this will make for lots of snow in the north, and make me cry, or it will push the snow to the south where we want to ride the Harley, and make me contemplate suicide :) Either way I will always miss snowmobiling.

Well, looks like I pretty much nailed it last year. Maybe not quite a record snow season for John, but pretty darn close anyway. Hey, this meteorological business don't seem so tough! Lol

I have mixed feelings about this year. Can't quite get a solid feel for it yet. I'll be sure to let everybody know just as soon as my gut lets me know.;)
