Crickets

2 in diapers.... 'nuff said.

But seriously, kids and work taking up all my time. 60ish hours a week lately. When I'm off and the kids get off to bed, I just want to crash, no time to get on here.

Working as usual, picking up a couple of the lawns that my son mows while he's gone for the summer, doing some minor re-work to the landscaping at home, and trying to finish off the inside of the trailer I got last fall. That was going to be a all summer long project but now I've been trying to get done before the end of June since I'm taking a trip with my wife to the UP and figured having that finished for camping would beat staying in a tent. After getting into it yesterday I'm not so sure now. Thing was really hot inside, and since it's a sled hauler there are no windows. Not sure how it will be for summer camping. Trying to figure out how to make screens for the ramp doors, and side door to allow the air to move through, but at night we'd probably close everything up and I doubt the side wall and roof vent will allow enough air to move through. Oh well, something else to take my time.

Still manage to get on the site as part of the early morning, and end of the day routines.

I found 2 jack stands under ramp make for a nice deck.
I have fabed the cheep wood screen doors from the big box stores to work in a few trailers .always made to temp in and out with a removable 2x on floor and celling and foam tape around edges .
$60 and some miss scrap.

the small door I would do one of those roller shade style screen doors permanently they are usually past $150

Good thoughts. I was standing in it today thinking/planning and I like the deck idea. I also checked out some cheap wood screen doors at the Depot. Think I'll make a temp wall just set in from the ramp spring with a 30" screen door cut down so it can swing out and can just go under the opening. Figure I can make it with a narrow header cut to match the bow in the ceiling and 2 side sections that are paneled on the bottom and screen on top. That will provide a little more of a closed feeling at night, and I can just walk out to my deck and drink my morning coffee. Thanks Ezra.

Been cutting for a few evenings now and making trail through back of wooded lot to get to some serious fallen timber. The Rhino has seen some serious utility work since the day I bought it. Today I hooked a cable on to some 40 logs that were to heavy to carry by hand and to tight for a truck so I got the rhino down there and yanked them out,,,fun but to much like work! Gotta make hay when the suns up.

Very few have a good wood supply after last year with LP shortage. I start cutting next week!

up here in the UP, if your cutting wood now your late, friggin bugs, weeds if your falling trees, up till 2 weeks ago was prime and I suspect somewhat true for N.Wi,,,that is if you are looking to cut with the least amount of hassle. Some cut in April and burn in Nov, for the most part it's dry but I like to cut for the following season

I dropped all the trees over memorial day weekend. The bugs were already in full force. I am so chewed up.
This weekend is the marathon of cutting and splitting.
Maybe some day I will be a year ahead. What I cut will be used this winter. Maple. It will be dry enough.

Ever since Kaboolie got her claws into Squat, things just haven't been the same.
Even the "OFFICIAL FAMILY" threads have disappeared.

Had to buy a pulp load cut & split to my size...still waiting for delivery but told it was cut last Fall. Supposed to be oak & maple. Stuck this year no where to cut trees all out of firewood.:(
