Forte , Allen & Cutler need to go? Forte could get some good draft picks and wasted here... Allen not going to get much too old & out of position in Fox system. Cutler ....well ...no one wants him but might be good to keep him at a discount & bring young gun QB in by trade or draft & have Cutler groom him. Current Bear team reminds me of the Cowboys when Jimmy Johnson came in and traded Hershel Walker for draft picks & rebuilt a champion & he had nothing to work with at first. Bears can turn it around but need to craft some trades, sign good free agents & draft really really well. The White draft not looking very good could be a bust.... Bears have to do better than that! Some of the White draft pain is just plain bad luck. The fan base should be ok with rebuilding but Pace needs to start bringing in talent ASAP. I liked the way Langford ran way better than Carey ever ran.
Forte is all but gone. his deal is up this year. so either they trade him soon or let him go. no chance they resign him on a rebuilding roster. allen is gone after the year. houston gone after this year, both making big bucks. cutler can be gone if they choose, will all depend on what they draft or plans for draft. cutler could be let go for only a few million in dead money after this year. I'm not sure where you get the idea of trading for a "young gun" QB. no teams trade young Qbs that are worth a lick. The draft is where the bears will need to find the franchise. Boom or bust when taking a QB in top 5. but its a gamble they must take. We dont kno anything about white yet. he is def an elite talent but stress fractures are a little worrysome. combine with a college stud QB could be good future. i think ryan pace is the man for the job, but unfortunately its going to be at least 2 years until the bears will have a shot at winning again....assuming they take a QB in this years draft. Lets hope the bears go 1-15 or 2-14. as a 4 or 5 win season is useless. need #1 pic as we all know the top QB prospect will likely go #1.
Jared goff is now the #1 rated QB from cal...
Handed the keys to Cal's future almost immediately after signing with the team, Goff has steadily impressed over his first seasons and looks poised to jump into the conversation with seniors Cody Kessler (USC) and Kevin Hogan (Stanford) as the top quarterback prospect in the Pac-12 and the best talent at the position at Cal since Aaron Rodgers.
Goff impressed as a true freshman, completing 60.3 percent of his passes for 3,508 yards and an 18-10 touchdown to interception ratio. He shattered those numbers in 2014 (62.1 percent/3,973/35-7) despite a lackluster supporting cast and enters his junior campaign with 19 school records already under his belt.
