Wow! It's been a busy morning on this thread apparently! Was just over at Big John's this morning chattn it up, and lookin at his projects.

Paul - Did you get the carving thing figured out on your summit last year? (Not that you had an issue, but I thought stock was a chitty setup, so made some adjustments.)

SHR > Gosh I wish I lived near that guy and that I was going to make 'er to Hay Days this year....

Carving > No problems here. Rock'n and Rolling just fine! All you do is lose the say bar and add throttle! Had that figured out ASAP... addition of some new shocks will suit me just fine too. ;)

Didn't do the ski swap? Go do a test on your garage floor. Slowly pull your sled over to one side until you feel it want to kick back upright. (The outer carbide holder for that ski will touch the concrete and give you some resistence from going further.) After doing that, swap the skis inside out, then try the same trick again. You'll notice that (what is now the outer part of the ski), will not have the resistence at the same point the inner carbide did. In fact, you should notice it continue to tip, and the outer edge will flex a bit because it's softer. I was having trouble carving in normal conditions the past couple years, feeling like the sled wanted to right side up, but noticed the difference after the swap. Just a tip I found from doo talkers and BJ.

Yep, because if you try to carve an xp without 2' of fresh, this happens!

Yee Haw! All this sled talk and the chilly temps I had to wash and polish her! Relocated the hotdogger to the can too. It shined right up also! Thankfully all I have to do is ride & shine...not have to worry about any cpu reflashes for fall, winter, and spring!

Hey Paul is the doodoo bird still straight?

Too pretty for my liking. Plus it scratches up when you're using something to scrape the ice off the tunnel.

Ken, did you just rivet the hotdogger to the can? How did you attach it? I have mine on my pipe but it still comes in contact with the hood.

First I flattened the tabs with a hammer, then tex screwed it to the can. I used to have it on the pipe but it didn't heat up to well. Got that idea from snowest (before the dark days)i think. They said it worked well.
