My condolences to eagle 17 and his family. A very tragic event.

Rather than immediately trying to assess blame, maybe we should keep an open mind? Perhaps this was simply a tragic accident? Perhaps it was a mechanical failure? Perhaps it was an environmental circumstance that had tragic results? Perhaps it was a new rider that made a tragic mistake? The point being, why are we so quick to judge, knowing absolutely nothing about the circumstances or details!

My condolences to eagle17 and his family. Something has to change. I know it can't change what happened, but hopefully it can reduce future accidents.

Eagle17, having lost my brother while we were riding on LG on February 24th 2007 I understand the unthinkable shock you and your family are experiencing since the accident. I found that people hesitate to ask you to talk about event yet talking is the best therapy, at least it is for me. I pray that Denise's family and those affected by this are able to find peace. RIP and God bless.

Pretty simple reason. Snowdust and riding blind.
bingo, I about got run over 5-6 years ago in similar incident. Trail 13 loop over by Kangas farm on Greenland side of loop, long straight and I was as far right as could be. I saw a group of sleds approaching so I stayed in front of my sled after first sled come by next two were hauling and blew by with in inches, one sled hit my buddy's sled because he was a few inches out further than me. Long straights are dangerous because of snow dust and guys trying to keep up at high rate of speed. I never park on trail anymore. So sorry for your loss Eagle and for all involved. It's a terrible thing to ever experience.

Very sad to hear. Although we do not know the specifics of this accident but when accidents occur do to excessive speed, alcohol, not following the laws it should be deemed criminal and proper punishments should be extended.

The one on saturday trail 3 my buddy rolled on up the scene and could believe what he seen. Still a week later he still shook up and his boy refuses to ride again. There where some rental sleds in the accident. They prayed for a awhile which everyone around said look like scene out of a movie. My friend took his cross off and put it on the little girls wrist who was with her mother for the last time. Just not right. God bless this family

Jesus - that poor family. You just have to put it in God's hands and say it was her time.

This is so sad, prayers to the family.

I just got my 12 year son into sledding this year and every time we are trail riding I am so worried about something like this happening. We try to stick to the Forrest roads so less traffic.

Condolences eagle17, very sad. I spent last week in the UP with my 14 year old and think about this every time he rides with me.
