bonnevier - I got that same pic from mspease a while back - and still have it as my winter background on my PC.
It certainly is a keeper.
I've been on that trail many times, but have only seen it look like that once.

Same here Handiman...only been on it once or twice when it looked this and then they cracked down on the burm. I think I got it from mspease too....sorry!!!

Right where the Speers is coming through is an area I archery hunted for years. I would be sitting in my tree stand and could see the ships coming through. I remember clearly one morning when the S.S. Badger car ferry came through, belching coal spoke everywhere. Couldn't imagine how smokey the environment was 100 years ago when most transportation was coal fired.
