OK< don't know how many here use diesel fuel, but prices are getting out of control, went from 6 bucks a gallon to 7.29 in the past 5 days and still climbing daily . with no end in sight!

SO< even if you don;t use diesel, everyone should be concerned, about it IMIO<
as everything hauled /transported across the USA ,is pretty much transported using trucks that run on diesel fuel !
and as these prices climb, the costs are going be put onto consumers. with much higher costs for everything!
then??
add in all the diesel fuel, farmers use? in there tractor's and the rest of there machinery.
I have no answer, but something needs to give here, or a lot of folks will be suffering more than ever, all the more so folks on fixed incomes!~

Its pretty obvious the current administration will not do anything for us. They don't care, they actually want to break us all. It's the first step in Socialism, create a lower class that has no money. Wait until you see what the next steps are!

Why would big oil produce more oil while they're already making record billons, BILLION$! in profits. Look it up yourself in case your "news" machine failed to mention it. Maybe big oil will get around to drilling after they're finished lining their shareholders pockets to make up for what they lost during the pandemic.

You want to blame high oil prices on the oil companies, go for it. Me Biden never should have stopped the Keystone pipeline, restricted oil drilling in sensitive areas or stopped fracking in his effort to turn us away from oil cold turkey with no alternative fuel plan in place. Our military runs on oil always will so does the entire world. USA went from top oil producer to being dependent on foreign oil. To me our current administration has done nothing to boost oil production just the opposite they’re trying to kill oil production with no plan to wind down. Pretty darn stuuuupid imo.

None of Biden's energy plans are anywhere near fruition yet. So at least for now, this is all on the oil companies. Do a simple google search and you would know this.

That’s exactly my point transition needs a plan cold turkey is not a plan.

I don't think there are many Biden voters on this site but I would guess unless they are completely oblivious or just plain stupid that they feel a little shame right for voting this current administration into power. That's what it's all about in Washington is power because they all are millionaires before they get there. Then they get sucked into the swamp and love it to the point where they stay for years and years offf the taxpayers money. They have set us all back years with their selfish policy decisions but apparently this is what the majority wanted when they voted these clowns into office. You don't have to be highly educated to vote, just do your homework on what the candidate really stands for so we don't have to experience this pain again.

I find it almost amusing, that people blame this on “lining shareholder pockets” when in fact energy is the worst performing investment over the last 10 years. The main point is companies that employ people need margins to make money and keep issuing pay-checks. We can produce oil domestically for less than $60/bbl but our current administration prefers to buy from Russians (7% of domestic consumption) or from the Saudis for a majority. So our current administration prefers to pay near $100/bbl abroad and shut down domestic pipelines and kill natural gas transportation to MI through line 5. All the peeps saying electric cars are the way to go (which may happen). Where does that come from? Typical fossil fuel fired plants….or nuclear…..but ohhh no let’s shut them down too……heck just google it and u can find the truth…..yah whatever is in the internet has to be true… I feel sorry for the anti fossil fuel crowd, etc. but what do I know….. I’ve signed both the front and back of pay-checks. For anyone who would like to look at actual performance I’ve attached some facts….on investment performance. People can have their own opinions but some stuff is unbelievable. This narrow minded sight is why I dont do any book of faces, instagram, twitter, etc… close to signing off here too, but I do recall a very smart man saying discussion is pointless…….I won’t fill in the rest……

When "big electric" starts gouging the consumer (and they will) I'll call them on it. Look, before you start ass uming, like youz always do. Forty gallons of diesel for my delivery truck costs over 200 dollars out of my pocket. I cant charge that to my customers, they'll shop elsewhere. But the oil companies have us by the short hairs and can raise their rates if a bird craps on a pipe line. Dang right I blame the oligarchs who now run everything, decide what we pay, what we're paid, all while making record profits and (this is important) buying up media outlets to deflect the blame. Disabuse yourself of the notion that any President has power, he's just a noise machine.

MY electric power company last week called and reported that as of next month or shortly after , its raising its rates 37 % ,
due to the current economy and there added costs to make it!
they (PP&L my provider) actually called all its customers with a automated call to inform us,last week, and that if we wish , we can go else where!
there the largest in the state as far as I know!, kinda knowing most WON"T leave!

SO< price increases have already started for electricity
and they ALSO increased the rates last yr as well, due to the Covid deal
electric is at an all time high here and climbing!

Lol. Under my skin? Cute. Why would I get upset when I already know what the echo chamber will say. I seldom check in here anymore cause I can just watch Faux. I'm already bored so I'll tell you what will happen, your clever comebacks will quickly run out and turn to name calling. Either way I've already won. Quit now and save the bandwidth.

And the last time the prices were this high was right after Bush left office. Think about it. Coincidence?

You have a terrifically poor understanding of the most basic tenets of fundamental economic theory. Anyone who has studied such, and also is reading your posts, is likely openly laughing. Please find your local community college or online education provider and sign up for macroeconomics and microeconomics - often times labeled "Econ 101" and "Econ 102" (or similar).

Ohhh big words. If you're so much smarter than me, why cant you tell when you're getting crop dusted? No one cares what you guys think. But judging by all the notifications I'm getting, you guys sure do care what I think. I have to go now, take a ride on my E-bike using the bike lanes and paths that your taxes helped pay for, thanks for that. See all in a couple of months during my next crop dusting mission.
