RevKev,

Bumpers look good. Sled looks even better. 4 days seems like an eternity.. 9 of us going out from our snowmobile group. Rick is picking my dad and his gang up in South Bend. The other 6 of us, he is picking up in LaSalle. First time for all of us going out West.

See you Friday Evening!!! The Snowys are getting hammered this week:p
Last year, we arrived at Ten Mile to 3 feet of fresh powder, let's hope for the same this year. Bring, and Drink plenty of water, Keeping hydrated at elevation is key to avoid altitude sickness.

Is that a CoBe rear bumper? I am thinking of getting one for my 07 RMK.

Kev, is that front bumper Buffalo tested for cooke? Is the back bumper fine for a snobunje?

Yes a CoBe rear bumper, and a Bungee will work fine on it.
Neat how they threw in that lower smaller diameter bar in the design to let you get a purchase on the bigger upper when you've trenched the sled and the dang flap would be in the way... good design. Don't have to beat down your flap then.
Or you could be like my bro and remove the flap all together... PIA to follow him and the HCR.

Only drawback to that design on the Poo Pro, the upper bar mostly blocks the tail light, but we do very little trail riding in the Mtns.

KevRev,

What is the ride out to Ten Mile like in the Slim O? Most people sleep or is there room to play cards, watch some movies, have a few beers, etc?? Just curious. I tend to go a little stir crazy without something to do.

I can answer for kevin, all of the above. You can even post on JDee if you have a Droid or similar. It's a great time to get caught up on sleep.

^^^^as stated, there are 2 flat screens (bring some DVD's of your choice) 2 tables to play cards Plenty of seating, and beds, enough to sleep 8 at any one time. Sirius radio playing up front the entire trip (classic Rewind while Im driving)

Back on the topic of revx125 disappointing trip. I was just out there last weekend during a two day storm with a friend and our wives and had a great time. Experience and knowing about the area is critical. I ride the Hayward WS area which has great trails but if you pick up a Hayward snowmobile tour guide magazine one of the routes it shows(north of Nelson lake) will keep putting you on plowed roads and you would think it's the worst area you could ride. The more you know about an area, the better your ride will be. That's why sites like this are so valuable. Thank you revx for your post as it may help someone avoid a disappointing trip.
The Centennial area puts you right on top where it's high, windy, steep and deep. It's one of the most extreme areas you can ride with excellent hill-climbing and boon-docking. The trails get drifted over and beat fast. It's not the best place to trail ride from during unsettled weather as you'll have to cross the flats to get home and storms are frequent. I stayed at Albany just 20 miles south. It's lower and is always calmer. The rooms are clean, the food's good. and you ride from your door. You can ride to the top or if it's stormy ride south where it's lower and always calmer. The south trails are not heavily used and always flat. If you just would have known a little more about the area or had a guide, I'm sure you would have had a completely different experience.
