Surprise, surprise

Theres nothing wrong with that. I won't even have one beer socially if I'm going to be driving anything.

Way back on the day I was in a local band and we accepted one shot of whiskey to encore Whiskey In The Jar. One hour later I was getting pulled over because I blew a big fuse that knocked out my tail lights. The officer knew I wasn't drunk but I was very nervous and when I told him that I never drink and drive he kindly informed me how false that statement was now.

And now I could never be under the influence and put myself in a situation where there is any doubt, for my employment and for my two children.
It's really not that big of a deal to be sober.

Right now, at this moment, I am enjoying a good part of a six pack of Bells Amber and had two shots of Hunters whiskey.

Next, you'd probably ask what if one of my kids had a medical emergency since I won't drive right now. I have a plan in place. Besides neighbors the ambulance service is just down the road from me, maybe 1000 yards away.

It sounds funny that I "have a plan in place" but that's the dealio.

'The Locals' are just 2 people posting multiple times.

I like how the comments say that drunk tourists are a danger to the locals, as if the locals never drink and ride. LMAO

And as usual, people jump to conclusions. The DNR says "alcohol was a factor" if the rider had even one sip of beer, so we don't know if the rider was drunk or not.

In all regards the drunks are a danger to everyone regardless of where they're from.

Alcohol seems to be a factor in snowmobiling! <----- yeah, that was sort of an attempt at humor but when you look at the amount of snowmobiles outside of bars it's a concern.

Bars are in the busine$$ of pouring drinks. The number of vehicles parked overall, is also of a concern. And yeah I know the coke and cheesesburger crowd is part of it.

bars pay for map adds hence get a ribbon to there business. I go to bars on my sled all the time . I have never been a big drinker . have not had more than 10 beers in 10 yrs .
prob is almost any place that serves food has a bar. sleders also like to eat some alot . I know the drunk sledding is still a issue but I really believe it is way way better than it was even 15 yrs ago . I don't even mind the pro drinkers I worry about the non pros on vacation that is scary as **** to me on the trail .

Was at the Great Northern Lodge in Mercer today...their special was free shots of Wild Turkey every time the groomer went buy...the shots were flowing at 11AM...‘Twas too early for me.

Seemed like an odd special...kind of like free shots every time a snowmobiler dies?!
