I rode through Lanse on Thursday. There is not much snow there at all. Depending on where you want to ride, my suggestion is to drop in Sidnaw at the Station.
Thanks bayfly! I'm hoping something will happen next couple days to resurrect things, as much as wife and I are hoping to ride, I won't be surprised if we cant. Fingers are crossed though but I won't be riding crap, I don't need to ride that bad, have plans to either explore the eastern U.P. by sled or vehicle, so it is what it is, unfortunately.

Good luck to you and your wife euphoric! My very best snowmobile trips over many years has been with my wife! Hope you're able to ride, and the Hilltop motel is on the trail to Big Bay. It's close to the "wooded trail" leading out of town, so you should have snow cover close by. May not be ideal for a few miles but after that you'll have plenty of snow imo. Remember to have one of the cinnamon rolls at the restaurant. The fish used to be excellent on Fridays also. There used to be another fish, and seafood joint close by, but I can't remember the name.

We cancelled and are heading to Ashland! Bayfield county looks in great shape
been mixed reports on ride command coming from the kee too so not quite sure what we will do yet, worry whatever snow survived will be ice crystals, still hoping mother nature will throw us a bone here but not looking like it. I would have much rather seen the the snow we are getting here now have gone to the north woods where it would have been more beneficial. uuuugh!! hopefully you guys will find some good trails/riding!!!

I'm not going to spend much time hunting snow, I got to ride (with you guys) already this winter which was a bonus for me as until last year only got one trip a season, but look forward to the trip my wife and I take and I'm more bummed that she may not be able to ride this season, and was looking forward to showing her some sites in the eastern U.P. Is what it is, given choice of going some place warm or to the north woods, even if I cant ride I'd rather go to the north woods, we have a nice cabin booked, off the beaten path and are looking forward to just getting away.
