Got around 3" of snow here in Eau Claire. Still waiting for the 4-8" we were supposed to get by this morning? Now the local weather guessers are saying 6-10" of additional snow by the time this is all wrapped up tommorow afternoon. I'm not great at math but I'm not sure how that adds up to 24" plus???

1" new snow in MW this morning, 11 degrees and windy, last two days total around 4-5" new snow, looks clean and white again even in town. Tonights snow supposed to start cranking up around 6pm, even if we get 6" we should be back in pretty good shape up here but trails will still be icy after all the racers blow the light snow out of the curves. The 5" of snow we got was needed just to get some decent traction and footing that the warm up left. Pure ice under that snow, can't imagine how many people ended up falling and possibly breaking bones in the last week or so.

I was almost one of them. When we came home from our trip last Sunday I had no idea that my driveway was a solid sheet of ice and drifted into the driveway with my trailer attached. Then once I got out of the truck we had to walk like penquins just to unload. Couple inches on top has helped but still very icy underneath.

I've been back a few days and haven't fallen yet which is pretty good. I ordered ice cleats for both me and my wife last night because when it starts melting it becomes ice season up here and it thaws and freezes every night.

3 in lakewood wi. So far.
Always divide the highest model number by 2 subtract 1. That will be yer snow.
Hey.. 11 inches would still nice.

Rough guess as I look out the office window that in the Fox cities area (most specifically Menasha right now) there is at least 3-4" of white gold on the ground. Tough to tell as the wind is really blowing it around. Had 3" in the driveway when I got up at 6 am and there's at least another inch (possibly 2) at 1:50 pm.

I still don’t understand why the forecaster start off with these big numbers and get everyone excited, only to be let down , it’s bull, I can’t be that wrong in my job or I’d loose it, oh wait I’m self employed

About 5 inches in Merrill this morning near the Airport. Unsure where my 10-13 went from last night.

About 6-7" here in Eau Claire bringing our two day storm total around 9-10". Still struggling with the math as to how that adds up to 24 plus inches??!! You would think with todays technology and all these fancy models that they would be able to dial it in within an inch or two...not 14-15 inches off!

They have to make a big production about any weather event. Makes me sick. Channel 26 in green bay was forecasting 12"-18" of snow in the area with strong possibility's of 20" plus in many areas:ROFLMAO:
Got about 10" of snow by me.

2 storm total in Greenville WI (west side of Appleton) somewhere close to 10”. 2-3” Monday/Tuesday and 6-7” Wednesday/Thursday. Definitely a bit of a let down. Hard to tell how much with the blowing/drifting.

As upset as I am about it too, gotta remember an average moisture content snowfall, an inch of snow is equivalent to .1” of rain. If they predict 1” of rain and we get 1.5” no one is complaining, but if it was snow, they would’ve been 6” off. Just something to think about.

The most accurate snowfall predictions usually seem to be when the storms are high moisture content/wet heavy snow. Anytime it’s dryer/lighter snow, I feel like what the models see in the sky isn’t what ends up in the ground, due to it losing moisture as it falls to the ground. I am absolutely NOT experienced in the meteorology field, I am just listing my observations from over the years.

About 9" reported in Delta this morning (between Iron River and Ashland, WI). One report of 26" in Benoit, WI (just a bit west of Ashland), but I'm wondering if someone was measuring in a drift!

I was wondering about that total too! At work in Superior on Wednesday we had blizzard conditions. I drove back home to IR at 3pm as soon as I got out of Superior , clear, no snow had fallen. Thursdays blizzard wasn't too horrid, Lots of snow but winds were not as high as predicted.
