I am sure he has forgotten about us. (can't blame him if he did!)
Oh no, Pat (Firecatguy) won't forget. I talked to him on the phone this morning to touch base. He said even after the long haul out there they all got up at 4:30 this morning chompin' at the bit to ride and he'll be sure to update tonight (I'm guessing on JD and not just to me). Here's what SUCKS BIGTIME... I was supposed to leave early monday to head that way and meet up with them to ride all this week, but my landscape business I own has had me to busy trying to finish up jobs where I can take off and not have anything lingering while I'm gone. Well yesterday (monday) I worked my butt off trying to finish up some last leaf removal/fall cleanup jobs so I could leave early Teusday morning and at 4:30 pm, WAMMO!! I took a gas powered Stihl bush trimmer to my leg just above the knee. Wasn't good at all as you can imagine. It looked like a shark bite and required some serious medical attention. Had a small surgery today to fix me up where I can hopefully take off tomarrow (wednesday) to meet up with Pat and the gang and salvage this week of riding. We'll see how things go with the leg and if I can get all of the things done that I need to so I can leave without having an exact return date. I have decided to do a "western tour" and stay out there 1 1/2 to 2 weeks, if my wife doesn't threaten divorce. My plan is to hang with Pat and crew till they leave, then stay at Togwotee until sometime early next week and ride with another group of friends that will be there, then head to the Snowies to ride with some friends that live in that area and then go from there down to Colorado for a few days to ride with my buddy that owns Spirit Lake Polaris dealership in Grand Lake. Thats my plan, and after working my azz off all summer I am ready for the break. Can't friggin' wait to get outta town and put this summer behind me!!! If Pat forgets to update I'll be sure to. Here's to hopefully getting out of town sometime tomarrow, Yippey!!!
