In Gypsum Colo visiting my brother and sister-in-law. Drove out to go mountain sledding for the first time. We are on two AC M8s.
Here is a recap of day one:
Rolled a sled on top of myself, learned how to shut off a sled with my foot.
Learned how to cross a gulley, climb an embankment with both skis in the air, land on the path, and stick the sled on the other side of the path...at full throttle.
Learned how to get sled unstuck from the side of the path at full throttle.
Learned how to climb a hill of powder at full throttle
Learned how to descend a hill of powder at full throttle
Learned how to go off a minor cliff, stick the hood in the snow and come out ...oh yeah, at full throttle
Learned how to stay out of trouble by ...wait for it...going full throttle
Learned how to pull a buried sled out with a Snow Bunjie at...anyone?...anyone?...full throttle
I have never beaten a sled like I beat this Cat. As soon as things start to feel loose just rip it and figure it out later, it's easier than digging. Just to end the day I jumped the snow bank to the parking lot, and those of you who have sledded with me know that is not my style.
Going again tomorrow...
