ubee: WI DNR reported this as only 1/2 a deer down from count the rest of the deer mutiplying like crazy. I think like 20 more after 1st 1/2 was bushwacked. :>)

Nope Wisconsin and Illinois are the 2 states you can not carry. You can only carry on your own land or hunting season. But would it count if your the one being hunted?

Sorry, I think you're confusing 'open carry' with 'concealed carry'... in Wisconsin you have the right to open carry.

Yes you are right I never knew you could open carry in Wisconsin. I just read about that and had no idea you could do that. I read you cannot take a open carry into a state building. I wonder what they do on State Land of on a lake. But that is good to know when I am up there.

most states wisely have passed "conceal carry" laws so that you don't have to openly carry a fire arm and therefore NOT cause an uncalled for perceived disturbance in public.

The dude was posting pics of something he came across while riding and thought it was disturbing. Why are we always ending up in some political debate. How is any of this relevant to the deer who was torn to bits after being attacked by a wolf? Yes, I've come across the same thing many times while riding. It happens. It's nature.

That's cool to see, where I hunt in the eastern up I saw lots of wolf tracks but nothing like that. Thanks for sharing.

sorry, I got off track, saw someting very similar on the lake we live on, but on a smaller scale, looked like a bird on bird kill to me.
But imagine breaking down on a trail and hoofin it out on foot in the middle of the night in hungry wolf country....wouldn't mind havin a .38 in the holster at that point.

In my many years of hunting I dont think I have ever come across something as brutal that happens in nature! 1 big adult deer (head missing), 3 wolves, 1 on the deer track, 2 on the side, 200 yrds and vapor! maybe it was aliens! it was bloody mess! Lots of people out there do not believe the big bad wolf exists! I wonder how long a large deer holds them over before they can catch a mouse?
