Fogging a 2013 Polaris 800

OK, let me start by saying I'm not trying to start a debate whether to fog or not to fog. Polaris manual says to fog so I'm planning to fog so as to not void warranty.

I'm hearing it's a PITA to fog these newer sleds. Just curious what other owners are doing. Manual says to fog per the instructions on the can but I don't believe the can (Polaris) has any instructions.

I've spent some time Googling and have found all sorts of approaches (outside of this forum - didn't get any hits here).

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Sled is a 2013 Polaris 800 Switchback Pro-R.

I will say it again BRP rocks in the summer storage department . I get so jealous seeing my doo buds just hit a few buttons and watch the sled pickle it self.
as far as fogging I will let my toys get warm and let that stable work its way in to the sled. shut it down pull the plugs do a 10 sec count in each hole put it all back together fire it if for a few sec shut her down grease her up dutch all the mettle down with wd40 jack up the rear and shut the trailer till spring

indy_500 - I think you misread my post. I'm saying I plan to fog so as to NOT void the warranty.
That's what I meant I should've said it will not affect warranty.

It is pretty sweet but its just 2 smoke lube not the same as fogging oil. Fogging oil is sticky.

Isn't one of the main points of fogging to make sure the crank bearings don't get rusty? If so, given that Doo uses sealed crank bearings, wouldn't this make the use of fogging oil as important for Doo's?

Well the oil would never see the bearings but there's still needle bearings that need lube and such. Don't get me wrong its a great idea and 100x better than nothing but true fogging oil is a step above it.

Anyone have any idea how much fogging oil to spray in? X seconds into the transfer port and Y seconds on top of the piston?

well like I said a 10 to 12 sec count down the plugs and then fire it up for 3 or 4 sec and cal it done.
that is how we do about 200 jet skis every fall and how I have been doing sleds for 15yrs

I spray for about 30 seconds thru the carbs n lightly touch throttle to keep it running then kill the motor with fogging oil eventually. Then take plugs off spray for 10 sec pul motor over 3 times spray for 5 sec pull motor over twice then 1 quick shot for a split sec put plugs back on. Maybe it's overkill but this is the 4th year in a row I've done it this way.
