We really haven't had a measurable snow up here in Vilas County since 1/16 when we got about 12" of snow over a 3 day period. It's been 1-2" and that does add up but now we need a good old fashioned snowstorm to get things back in shape.
I was at my Cabin in Pelican Lake this weekend. The trails were actually ok but we will also need some sort of storm to get it back in shape.

We've got plenty of snow here in the Keweenaw with more on the way tonight through Thursday. Wet heavy system snow with a possibility of some freezing mix to start things off, Yay!!!! NOT!!!! NWS has us under a winter storm warning with 5 to 11" possible along with winds of 30 to 40 mph accompanied by gusts up to 50 mph. I've been watching the models & the GFS & Euro seem to agree to a degree, two other model runs show it just south of the Keweenaw, but, I highly doubt that this is going to miss us.
I have been without my plow buggy for the last month, I am down to a walk behind snow blower, shovel & snow scoop. On top of that, we are running out of places to put it. Hopefully we don't get hammered too bad. I am ready for spring.

Kind of amazing. Approximately, 200 miles in latitude separate us and the ground is nearly bare in our area of Wisconsin. We're certain to have storms and more snow in the remaining months of winter but...no accumulations like you have in the Kee.

Nothing at our house (anymore) in Kaukauna. I'm figuring on staying at our cabin in Pelican Lake and trailering up to probably Watersmeet and riding Saturday. Hoping it will be good.

some thunder last night, already in the 50's at 7 a.m. sun out birds singing, by later today we could be in a elevated fire risk, delivered first new zero turn yesterday, more customers in last 2 weeks than 2 months prior, mowers being dropped off and I'm headed north Sunday to go riding, sure doesn't feel like it LOL

It's snowing & blowing here, I think the conditions right now are the worst I've seen so far this winter. Winds from the east at 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 50 mph. Windows are plastered with snow & you can hardly see out. At this point, you can't even keep up with the snowfall rate. Difficult to say what we've got since 4 am as the winds are so strong and constant. There is 0 to 6 inches in one area and 2 1/2' in others. They upped our snowfall through friday to exceed 17" with more in the highlands. I've closed one office & will likely close the other later this morning in light of the fact that I am already here I might as well stick it out for a while.

Brian, if you had as much snow as we have right now, you wouldn't like this so much. With the winds right now, it doesn't pay to try to blow snow, so the bulk of the driveway clearing will have to wait until later. The winds are so strong when the snow hits your face it stings like sand. On top of it we are running out of room to put the stuff in many areas. Looking forward to a break from it.

I agree with you mezz and I cant imagine what you have to deal with, still boggles my mind when I go up there and see and experience it in person, only liking what I am hearing as I am heading up in a few days

Hey Mezz, How are the knees holding up? It's 55 and sunny right now here in northern IL. One golf coarse is Open close by in Fox Lake IL. Might try to get in at least 9.:) Hoping to go up in march.

Jake, my right one is still a problem & I am not interested in seeking a remedy. I can get around & without pain, just not the strength it use to have. We'll still have a ton of snow in March, I don't think we'll see this leave until May at this rate. We are well over 230" so far tis year.

Wow Mezz, lot's of snow. I remember years of visiting Sandy and Richard at Krupps and riding in some big storms. I have to say my knees are doing pretty good. Take care and stay strong.
