Found an IPhone, Can I change my phone to the IPhone?

Found an I phone on the road yesterday. Can I take it in to the ATT store and have it reprogrammed with my cell number? It doesn't look like any water damage to it. Appreciate any help/advice.

Or wait to take a call & ask who they are calling & tell them you found his/her phone. Might be a reward for ya to do the right thing.

It probably belongs to a police officer who is tracking it as we speak by gps! Find them before they find you.

I've actually paid a reward for a lost cell phone before which was greater than the retail value of the phone.

The data contained on the phone of course is worth more than the phone itself sometimes.

Find the owner if you can...your conscience will feel much better if you do everything you can to find the owner but can't and end up using the phone one day.

Of course he can return it. Go the the ATT store. They can tell by the s/n who's it is.

If it is not the original iphone (the bigger one), it has a feature called "find my iphone". You activate it from any computer and the gps tells you exactly where the phone is located. It has to be turned on of course. If not, it will give you the last coordinates. It is a great feature, and I used it once to find my iphone that fell out of my pocket into the bushes at the local park. Now before you ask, I was retrieving a baseball my son had thrown over my head.

Anyway, the suggestion to just call one of the numbers on the phone is best. Also, in the contacts of the phone there will be a contact listed as "me". This is the guy who owns it!

Bring it back and get your own!

I think this must be a test what 40 year old MAN would try and figure out how to steal something and make it his own...

If not I think carma always has its place and when his sled is missing from the hotel/bar he can hopefully use that Iphone $300 dollor Iphone to call the police and report his $5000.00 dollor sled.

If you can not tell by the responces that this site is full of quality people that all have good morales.

Just look at some of the other treads like the looking for work in Illinois

skeeter2010, that is exactly what I thought. My mom would of beat me to an inch of my life if I kept the phone and she still would. Guess it's not even a question for me. Give the phone back! and someone put it in bold letters, bright colors and underline it for me.
