So i keep having problems with my googles frosting up. It is generally on the right side. They are scott brand with dual pane thermal lens. I have two pair and they both do the same thing. My helmet is a hjc with a breath box and my googles have the nose peice on them as well. Any help would be great!!!

The fog evader balaclava works great. A little warm for off trail riding sometimes but otherwise it is great. I rarely have to take my gogles off when we stop and talk. FYI I have a FLY helmet with 509 sinister and aviators. I very rarely have issues.

do the goggles form fit to your face well, is the breath box tight and straight? Don't know what else to suggest but if and when they do frost, put them in a ventilated bag mounted to the underside of your hood and they will thaw and be ready for the next switch. I have one coming in the mail and just bought another pair of goggles. I have a HJC with Scott voltage goggles and no problem except when it is below 5 degrees and I am sweating. Good luck and let us know if you figure it out.

Frosty Googles, half brother to Heiki Lunta, built the first "Search" Engine for Arctic Cat in 1964. Frosty won the I 500 from Winnepeg to St Paul the following year.

Instead of the breath-box, try a no-fog mask.

I have been using mine for years, and never any fogging/freezing issues.

I also use the scott dual pane googles....you will likely have to take the nose piece off, but its not necessary with the no-fog mask.

It is all about goggle fit to helmet. I tried a hundred pair of googles to my various helmets, not all work interchangable. There really should be a goggle/helmet chart to go by. Scott and Fly work well together.

If having frosty visors or goggles the last 2 days in WI northwoods no problem there has been snizzle that you can't feel but looks like hoar frost on the trees. Everyone had probems the last 2days so don't fix if not broken.

Goggle to helmet fit is the answer for air leaking in. Take your helmet to a dealer that will let you open every box of goggles and fit them to your helmet. Amazing results. Do not buy ski goggles from the sporting goods store and expect them to fit your helmet. Those are designed to fit your face with a beenie on, not a helmet. I only wear a baklava without any of those breath box items and my helmet works fine. Did this with my SR1 helmet and my Fly helmet. I bought many googles before an old timer showed me this at Cooke a few years back. Not all goggles are created equal. You do NOT need to spend big dollars on big name goggles to work. Double lens, and fitment is key.

2013-02-08_09-16-28_53.jpg About 6 out of 6 guys I ride with all went to this combination. Fly model FL-304 with Scott Xi goggles with the nose piece. Transitional lense for blue skies and a pair of orange or yellow lenses for overcast/flat light days.
