Cat Man ,If you read my post it says " Just a little more" If you watch the winning goal in Ot you can clearly see the Hawks were tired as there was nobody within 5 ft of Burrows when he let loose with his bullet. hawks played great but ran out of gas at the end !What qualifys as high level sports ?Got a few of them covered in 65 yrs !! Hawks were a good team,had a good run but you have to let loose !
The reason there was nobody within 5' of Burows is because they where going for a change as Campoli was going to loft the puck to get it out of the zone. Burrows made a heck of a play and shot a rocket by Crow. Nothing to do with desire. Right place, right time. I believe you are mistaking desire with energy level. If the Hawks did not want it just as much, if not more than Van, there would have never been a game 5,overtime in game 6,or certainly not overtime in game 7. And, I have let it go. Looking forward to a great team next year. (I have a feeling we may have 2 Calder catidates in Morin and LaLonde) It just irritates me when the whole "they wanted it more" arguement come up and is used incorrectly. And DI college or getting paid to play (which is sometimes both
) would qualify as high level.
