Tonight is the 2 hour premier for Gold Rush, probably my favorite show on tv! Something about it just draws me in. Can't wait!!

I think Hoffman's are a joke but on the flip side in 4 years they have done very well minus last year you gotta figure they came into this no experience the dodge brothers have a life time and so does Parker so for them to be where there at I think is a big deal.... still a joke should just throw in the towel now haha

I did a little research and the below is from Fred's facebook page.
Why we are not on "Gold Rush" this fall........this may be news to many.....
.I am not rich.....I am a working class guy like most of you. After spending more for four years straight than I made, there was no way for me to continue.
But the main reason is simple......and I quote...."If you want a Miner, call me.......if you want an Actor, pay me like one."
Dustin and I were "hard to work with". Interpretation ?......we did not go along with every cocamainy idea the film people dreamed up......
Corporate beancounters also wanted to consolidate their operation after a disastrous South American season. They also layed out mega millions to buy the company filming Gold Rush.
Sssssooo......as we were the 'Red Headed Stepchild', we were on our own.......

The scale the Hoffmans mine at is ureal sooo much overhead to cover ....it is a wonder anyone would lease them land to mine ..this lease cost them 100 oz regardless of performance....How can you make money when most lease at 10%? Not sure this is worth the effort on his behalf not to metion working for him for peanuts. Todd Hoffman is a goofball but entertaining to see him fail & that is what the show is all about entertainment.
I'd bet good money that the Hoffman's fail as always. They don't know how to give up I mean Todd almost lost his wife over minning and Def lost any pride he had last year now u go into the season owing some one a 100 ounces regardless now that's just dumb as it gets plus 20 percent.... give up.. I'm all for team dodge this year

I wouldn't say they always fail, but they sure did last year. You don't live on the property they do etc. and always fail! I like Todd, and quite frankly, he is what made the show what it is today. Could the show survive today without him? Yes. Would it have become what it is today without him? No way!
Yea Yea Yea lol I know what your saying mspease. I liked what they did in 1 and 2 but with that epic of a last year give up. They make it kind of obvious in my opinion that they really don't need the money that's one nice piece of property and one very nice truck plus who has the money to drive 2000 miles for possibly nothing blows my mind

Sucks for todd hoffman he passed up on the same spot freddy is just raking in nuggets to go to gayana. Smh. I wana see how tony beets dredge project works out.
The dredge is very interesting & I wondered why someone with big bucks didn't do it before? New recovery equipment could result in a big motherlode!

From what I read about Yukon dredging I would be very surprised if Tony got any further than dissasembly this season. He might get up & running late next season but he can't just plop this dredge anywhere & start dredging he needs to own the claim area & have government approval to tear up any river or creek. Sure will be interesting to see how Tony works things out as he is not use to not having his way with everything.

Friday's show was pretty good and I think it's going to be an interesting season! Many good story lines going, especially Tony, he's a great addition. An hour a week isn't enough!

Parker and family rock. Love seeing more of Tony. He has it together. Those idiots with poser beards say bye bye. Dodge boys is how I would operate for the most part.
