Southern MN was AWESOME last year, I just hope if we get what they say, (which you can never count on), lasts past March 1st.

Where the **** would you go sledding in Southern Minnesota? That's a new one on me!

Last year in February at my dad's place in Lakeville, a southern suburb of the Twin Cities, on 3 separate weekends my son and I did 100+ mile rides heading south towards Cannon Falls, Faribault, and Northfield. The further south we went, the more snow we encountered. On EVERY ride there was BY FAR more snow than there was in central WI.

NO KIDDING.

I usually go just south of Mankato for a day trip 1 time a yr when they get a good snow great trail system with mix of woods open fields varying height fields for 10 to 15foot drifting to blast up I have spent hours at 1 honey hole huge drift area till it was all used up good times. usually the southern part of MN gets a late season storm but you got to go when they get it because it will be shot the next day

I know the big lake is unbelievable as far as temp goes. I've lived in the keweenaw since birth, and can remember swimming in the big lake with friends all the time. I have never felt it this warm. Sure there were days when it was warm here and there in the past but this yr rocks for swimming in Lake Superior. I have spent more time in the big lake this yr that the last 10 combined. I would say in the last week I've spent 6-8 hours in the lake. Now this high temp has to help early season lake effect snow. So I could be wrong but maybe we will get out of the gates with a good hole shot. And of course this is the first year I'm going out west.
