Not to argue Hoosier, but it's hard for me to see that being a sanctioned trail of any kind in Ontario with OFSC??

If I remember right some years back I think this bridge popped up too? And I do know there was a long out of the way around up by Sudbury that we encountered heading home from Timmins and North Bay years back? Did you make a Canadian trip this year?I was good to go this year, but my Canadian riding bud was not up to snuff due to heart surgery. So next year it is again. Hopefully more trails reopen by then too. Did you get the 900Ace sled. They are one boss Canadian big mile trip mpg sled.
It's possible I was wrong that this bridge was once part of a trail. I see your point about the OFSC - one would think it would need a guardrail at least. There's another video out there with a car stuck on it in the non-snow season. We rode that area in March 2020, just days before covid showed up. I don't know if I was told it was part of a trail or if it was on the ride command app, or we could have just followed tracks and I'm remembering wrong.
Yes we got up to Canada last week. Our normal group of 3 was down to 2, so we opted to drive to Wawa instead of starting in Searchmont like we used to. We thought that was too remote for just 2 sleds, in the event we had an issue with one. Rode about 1100 miles over 4 days. Day 1 out to Marathon and back. Day 2 up the Hearst. Day 3 out to moonbeam and riding loops around there and around hearst. Day 4 back to Wawa. Just incredible conditions, low traffic and great people. Some of those in Hearst were prepping to go up to James Bay. Crazy set ups they had for that. The only thing that would have been better is if the Iran "situation" didn't happen, as I think gas went up every time we filled up. But that's a discussion for another forum.
Ended up having a sled issue 10 miles north of Hawk Junction, so I'm glad we were there instead of between Wawa and Searchmont. I think the stator went out in my sled. Guess I can't complain with 10,500 miles on the sled. It was a simple tow to a road and the other guy went back to the truck while I waited with food at the Big Bear. Guy there was nice enough to stay open for me. Can't wait to return. I just love riding up there.
And yes I got the ace 900. We went up to Eagle River area with my kids in January where there is an area by a relative's house outside the trail system and rode it for a few days. Well actually I never rode it as my daughter wouldn't get off it. She loves the light throttle pull. That sled may be my canadian cruiser. I don't know a lot about it yet. Our cat 600s did ok on gas up there - I think about 14-15 mpg and very little oil. I think people think it's all straightaways but other than up by Hearst it really isn't, and those things do really good on gas when you aren't always at high speeds. But the ACE getting 20 on 87 would be a nice, plus not carrying oil.
Hopefully you can make it up there next year...
