Guess when will we be able to ride in the U.P.?

Currently have thunder and lightning in the Keweenaw, just a crazy battle between Fall and Winter right now, looking forward to the snow! Trails are starting from scratch so hopefully we get some wet snow in the beginning of the transition that will help to build a good base.

Back to winter now, I don’t think I’ve witnessed a thunderstorm to blizzard transition before, that was something else! Lots of wind blowing around the fresh snow, so tough to gauge the totals so far, but the plows are out in full force. Seems to be headed in the right direction, and the wind/cooler temps should expedite firming things up a bit out there. John’s forecast looks great, just keep monitoring how things go as we are starting from scratch out there, but I can say it’s very nice to see winter again in the Keweenaw.

You can barely see thru the blowing snow, but that appears to be looking "kitty-corner" across 6th & Oak, with the "Michigan House Cafe and Red Jacket Brewing Company" on the left (faces Oak St.) and the Vertin Gallery on the far side of Oak St.?
